Chapter IV

The Great Cloud

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the North, A GREAT CLOUD, and a fire INFOLDING itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof, as the colour of amber (the resinous, life-giving, inward substance of a great Tree), out of the midst of the Fire.

Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of Four Living Creatures. And this was their appearance; THEY HAD THE LIKENESS OF A MAN...(Ezekiel 1:4,5).

Four Living Creatures: an Ox, a Scorpian (but sometimes an Eagle), a Lion and a Man.

The great 6,000-year Circle of Western History, from Genesis to Revelation

And they had the likeness of a Man (the Universal Man)...Ezekiel 1:5; Acts 13:38

THIS IS THE METATRON, THE ANGEL OF DIVINE PRESENCE (Exodus 23:20-25). IT IS THE VERY LORD OF NATURE--THE GOD OF WAR--HIMSELF, REVEALED HERE TO THE WORLD IN HIS LOWLY, NON-VIOLENT, TWO-HANDED FORM...(The 11th chapter of Bhagavadgita; Ephesians 1:17-23; 3:17-19, KJV).

"Ezekiel experienced this vision near the beginning of the sixth century B.C.E. Even before his book was canonized as part of the Bible, his vision had become the archetype of Jewish mystical ascent. Until the emergence of the Kabbalah, Jewish mystics used Ezekiel's account as their model. Ma'aseh merkavah, the account of the Chariot--as it came to be called--was expounded in some circles, imitated in others. An entire literature developed recounting the visionary exploits of those who followed in Ezekiel's footsteps...The journey was arduous and dangerous, requiring intense, ascetic preparation and precise knowledge of secret passwords in order to be admitted to the various heavenly palaces guarded by menacing angels. THE FINAL GOAL WAS TO ATTAIN A VISION OF THE DIVINE FIGURE ON THE THRONE." The Essential Kabbalah, by Daniel C. Matt, pp.3,4.

The Great Cloud Now Assembles Itself out of the East Westward.

The last two thousand years of human history (the age of Pisces) began to unfold with the beginning of the Christian Revelation. The journey carried the mind of the Nation-church and the entire Gentile world, out of the East in every direction, but ever Westward. "He shall come as a Cloud to cover the earth." (Native American saying)

And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a THICK CLOUD, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee forever.

And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them TODAY and TOMORROW, and let them wash their clothes (see Revelation 7:13-17; Luke 13:32,33). AND BE READY AGAINST THE THIRD DAY: for the Third Day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon Mount Sinai...(Exodus 19:9-11).

The Third Day symbolizes all the events of the 20th century.

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the Way, and to bring thee into the place that I have prepared (see John 14:1-3).

Beware of him, and obey his voice (see John 14:15), provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions; for My Name (YHVH) or (YHWH) is in him (the name is now YHShWH, or Jehoshua...see the chapter on the Divine Name),

But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee into (the place where the number Six, or, in this verse, where the symbolic "Six Gentile nations" reside...see verse 23), and I will cut them off.

Thou shalt not bow down to their gods (especially if they now call their god Hesus, or Jesus, while they themselves refuse to walk in the ways of these same teachings), nor serve them; nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them (out of your mind), and quite break down their images (not literally, because the Torah also says: "Thou shalt not revile the gods," but completely out of your thoughts)...(Exodus 23:20-24). .

___________

So Moses finished the work…Then the Cloud covered the Tent of the Congregation, and The Glory of the Lord (all of Nature) filled the tabernacle (see 1 Corinthians 2:6-8; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9).

And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the Congregation, because the Cloud abode thereon, and The Glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle (understand Isaiah 6:3).

And when the Cloud was taken up (see Acts 2:9-11), the children of Israel went onwards in all their journeys. But if the Cloud was not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.

For the Cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by Day, and Fire upon it by Night, in the sight of all the House of Israel, throughout all their journeys (see 1 Thessalonians, chapter 5)...(Exodus 40:33-38).

___________

On the day that the tabernacle was reared up the Cloud covered the tabernacle…and at Evening there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of Fire, until the morning.

So it was always: the Cloud covered it by Day, and the appearance of Fire by Night.

And when the Cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and the place where the Cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents (as they are in America today…see Numbers 24:1-9)...

At the commandment of the Lord they rested in their tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the Hand of Moses...(Numbers 9:15-23).

.

These are they which have come out of great tribulation...Revelation 7:14.

YET IN THIS THING YE DID NOT BELIEVE THE LORD YOUR GOD, WHO WENT IN THE WAY BEFORE YOU, TO SEARCH OUT A PLACE TO PITCH YOUR TENTS IN…A CLOUD (the ways, and the possibilities of Peace) BEFORE THEE, AND A FIRE (the terrors of War) BEHIND THEE BY NIGHT, TO SHEW THEE THE WAY YE SHOULD GO...(Deuteronomy 1:29-38)..

___________

Moreover, brethren, I would that ye should not be ignorant, how that all our fathers and Mothers were under the Cloud, and all passed through the Sea (where the nations dwell, and where the Great Dragon lives);

And were all baptised unto Moses in the Cloud and in the Sea.

And did all eat the same spiritual meat.

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that Spiritual Rock that followed them (see Exodus 17:1-7; Numbers 20:1-13; Deut.8): and that Rock was Christ.

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them, as it was written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play (see Exodus 32:6-18).

Neither let us commit fornication (with the other nations of the earth) as some of them did, and fell in One Day three and twenty thousand.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents (that is, by their own natural ways)

Now all of these things happened to them as ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come...(1 Corinthians 10:1-11).

What is this Great Cloud? This "Cloud of Unknowing?" It is not only the ways and all the possibilities of Peace that have gone before the children of Israel in all of their journeys (with the ways of War, however, following close behind), to show them the way that they should go, but it is the people themselves who have learned to walk in these ways. This Cloud rises from a remnant (a remnant in every generation who have been keeping the precepts of the Spirit to perfection...see 1 Kings 19:18; Revelation 11:13), and is fulfilled in a multitude:

Wherefore seeing we are compassed about by so great a Cloud of Witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily doth beset us;

Looking unto (the Mystery of) Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross (see Galatians 2:20; 6:14-17), despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God (see 1 Corinthians 1:18-24).

The Western ends of the Earth.

Therefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees. and make STRAIGHT PATHS FOR YOUR FEET (paths that reach from the beginning of this age all the way to those places on the Tree of Life named Endurance and Majesty), lest that which is lame be turned out of the Way; but let it rather be healed.

FOLLOW PEACE WITH ALL MEN, AND HOLINESS, WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD…

For ye are not come unto the Mount that might be touched (in violation of the Torah, see Exodus 19:12-25), and that burned with Fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest.

And the sound of the trumpet, and the voice of words (or in other words, ye have not come yet to the same terrible state of actual warfare as other regions of the world are presently subject to...September 11th not withstanding...Isaiah 30:25 ), which Voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken anymore…

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake: But ye are come to Mount Zion (the moveable Mount Zion, as the Vedic Meru, as the Far-off Mosque), and unto the City of the Living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

To the general assembly and the Church of the Firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just souls made perfect.

And to (the fulfillment of the Mystery of) Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel (see Exodus 24:7; Leviticus 8).

See (therefore) that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall we not escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from Heaven (with the Voice of Many Waters--many nations...see Revelation 10:7,8).

Whose Voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shall not shake the earth (the mind of the West) only, but also the heaven (or the East as well).

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

FOR OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE...(Hebrews, chapter 12).

__________

But exhort one another daily, WHILE IT IS CALLED TO DAY; lest any of us be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. (Sin is the departing from the Law).

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end...(Hebrews 3:13,14; Romans 10:1-4).

To enter into this great Mystery is to follow the pathway of the Festivals of the Lord out of the ancient East to the West, and to all of the unfolding realities of our own times. (The Rainbow Pathway to the West is the sign of the covenant that God made with Noah):

THREE TIMES thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the Year.

Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread (Passover). (Thou shalt eat unleavened bread Seven Days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty.

And the feast of harvest, the Firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field (see James 1:18), and the feast of Ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field.

THREE TIMES IN THE YEAR all thy males (interpret correctly here...see the following chapter) shall appear before the Lord God...(Exodus 23:14-17).

__________

These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

In the fourteenth day of the First month at Evening (from the East as far as the West) is the Lord's Passover.

And on the fifteenth day of this same month (when the Sun and the Moon--Christianity and Judaism--are able to proceed together in their own glory...see 1 Corinthians 15:41) is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: SEVEN DAYS YE MUST EAT UNLEAVENED BREAD. (Again, an indication that Passover must be observed from the first day of this festival in the East, to the Seventh Day in the West).

In the first day (Sunday) ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. (Please see Romans 14:5,6).

But ye shall make an offering made by Fire unto the Lord SEVEN DAYS: in the Seventh Day (Saturday, the Sabbath) is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein (see Hebrews, chapter 4)...

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the Land (into the State of Mind) which I give unto you, ye shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the Firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest (see James 1:18)

IN THE SEVENTH MONTH, in the First day of the month (when the Moon--which has faded away before the light of the rising Sun, and which has gone into occultation until its appointed time--reappears), shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation…

Also on the Tenth Day of this Seventh month there shall be a Day of Atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls (for all of the evils that have been accomplished in the Name of the Lord all these centuries, of which every one of us are complicit), and offer an offering made by fire (internal transformation) unto the Lord.

And ye shall do no servile work in that same day: for it is a Day of Atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God...(Leviticus, chapter 23).

As the Sun rises in the East every morning (Malachi 4:2), casting its shadow toward the West, so the Scriptures say:

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of a New Moon (which is itself a cosmic sign of the manifestation of the Anointed Ones who shall appear from the Female, or Lunar side of the Oracle in the West), or of the sabbath days, WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; BUT THE BODY IS OF CHRIST...(Colossians 2:16,17).

But the Body is of Christ...Colossians 2:17.

Then following the course of historical events from the time of Christ, and the eventual collapse of the Roman empire, to our own times, we read the words:

When the Lord thy God shall cut off nations from before thee, whither thou go to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their lands;

Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods (their fallen ideas, their distortions of reality, their national philosophies, and the great men of these nations who embody these ideas), saying, how did these nations serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise.

Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which He hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters have they burned in the fire (of human warfare) to their gods.

Whatsoever thing I command you, observe to do it; thou shalt not Add thereto, nor Diminish from it. (In other words, Thou shalt not teach the people that we may follow these nations, or train up our children in their ways, and particularly, that it is acceptable at certain times to literally wage war, and to take the life of other human beings in the name of Christ, all of which is not only an utmost violation of the precepts of Christ, but an abomination in the sight of God)...(Deuteronomy 12:29-32).

__________

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. FOR EVEN CHRIST OUR PASSOVER IS SACRIFICED FOR US.

Therefore let us keep the (true and epic meaning of the) feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth...(1 Corinthians 5:7,8; Psalm 114).

Throughout the first three chapters of the Book of 1 Corinthians Paul is emphatically telling us that it is impossible to fathom the depths or the heights of the Mystery of Christ by resorting to earthly wisdom, or through purely literal interpretations of sacred writ. Nor in matters of the Eucharist--the mysteries of the Mass (the great Passover sacrifice)--can we trust the conclusions of those who were gathered at the Council of Nicea in the fourth century, and who established for the rest of the world its philosophy of Christ, thus claiming for themselves the title of the Church, because those who actually won the dispute had no deep, or higher insight to it themselves. By that time in history the true meanings of the Mystery of Christ had already passed over the heads of "the Church," and they (the leaders of that church), had already been left to their own earthly ways and their imperfect reasonings. Because of their emerging complicity in the affairs of the lower world, and their continued participation in acts of Human Sacrifice (human warfare) God had rendered these prelates of the New Christian Order fully incapable of understanding the words of Paul which said:

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world that come to nought:

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world to our glory:

Which none of the princes of this world knew; for had they known it they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory...(1 Corinthians 2:6-8; Psalm 24:7-10).

Paul is obviously not referring to the Presence of God residing in the life of one single individual named Jesus alone (for as we shall see, the Druid, or Central European cult of Hesus, or Jesus, suspended from the limbs of the Cosmic World Tree, is older by far than Christianity itself), but rather to the manifestation of the One God (the Angel of Divine Presence) who dwells in every single individual, throughout every generation. Had any of the leaders of the world understood this they would never have had anything to do with war, or assassinations and executions, or in the least with matters involving injustice or oppression, or in any of the matters that are unfolding upon the earth in our time, because the Lord of Glory is He who is not only born in every human birth, and the same who dies in every single human death, but He is the same who overshadows and permeates the entire Living reality of our own times. Thus He is also the Force in the earth that initiates human warfare, and the same who is presently drawing the leaders of the earth and those who follow them into the Flames of the coming conflagration, to devour them and all their warring ways at last from the earth itself.

Had the leaders of the world understood this they would have not only removed their hands from every matter involving life and death, but they would have refrained throughout all their generations from sitting in such places of earthly authority to begin with, for now they are caught, and the spirit that dwells within them is revealed. What is being judged and condemned in all of them is the human ego grown out of proportion to the mere earth-born form it inhabits. (The Cross, of course, is the solution). And especially those Western leaders that have come in the name of Christ in these times, for these, claiming to be "freeborn," are slaves instead to their own natural ambitions and earthly passions--and to the industry of war (engaged in war after war after war as they are)--knowing full well as they should, having the ministers of God and the Word of God at their immediate disposal, that God is the God of War. (Exodus 15:3; Revelation 15:1-3). (Please see the chapter entitled The Church and the American Military Establishment).

These leaders reason to themselves that they do not make war for the same reasons as others, but only to stop war. Never mind that they, like spiritual madmen, are also willing in the end to sacrifice a few million of "our" lives in the process. Like their warring brothers in the Islamic world--who also cannot discern the difference between the Light and the Darkness, between the spirits of angels and men, between the Greater Holy War and the Lesser--they are caught. What is the difference, say, between what the Taliban have recently done to the standing images of the Buddha in Afghanistan and what the Christian leaders have been doing all these centuries to the purely spiritual image of Christ in the West?

And when it is said unto them, Do not make mischief in the land, they say: We are but peace-makers.

Now surely they themselves are the mischief makers, but they do not perceive it...(Sura 2.11, 12).

And what is the difference between George Bush, and his American cohorts, and Osama ben Laden and his Al Qaida? Osama ben Laden does not profess to be a free man, a follower of Christ. He falls down Five times a day before Allah. He is a slave of Allah, and does Allah's will. The difference is essential to our understanding of what is happening in the world.

Shall we be accused now of some form of treason? Or of some form of spiritual heresy by the practitioners of the American religion? (The religion of Ba'al). And especially will certain of them ignorantly, and might we add arrogantly, add to these accusations by seizing first upon those verses which say: For many deceivers are entered into the world…(2 John 7). (The followers of Ba'al love to quote from scripture, and believe they understand its meanings). These children of Darkness (those who have always persecuted the righteous in the name of Christ), are the ones who have always deceived others, however, by stirring up the simple minded with inflamatory sermons, political and religious accusations, and through their own ignorance by always challanging the truly enlightened sons and daughters of God with versus from the Bible--by trying to entangle them in their words, by insisting that they also quote Bible verses to justify themselves. In our times, and in our case, with the charge: "Are you saying that you do not believe that Jesus actually lived? Or that he actually came in the flesh? Well our church (you know, the ones with all the flags flying around the sanctuary) believes it, and the leaders of our country believe it." And then with great self-assurance they will quote the verse: "Hereby know ye the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti-christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (1 John 4:1-3).

So where do they fail? Where do they trip over the meaning of the Scriptures? Where do they fail to recognize the true spirit of antichrist, of which they themselves are in league? Where they fail to observe that the Scripture says IS COME IN THE FLESH, not "has come in the flesh." It is the spirit of antichrist that refuses to believe that Christ is still come in the flesh, at this very moment in time. It has been present in every generation since the time of Christ, and even before that time--in all of those who have been persecuted and killed for righteousness' sake, and it will be fully revealed in the Anointed Ones who will be appear now at the place named Majesty on the Tree of Life. (See Zechariah, chapter 4):

As a snare shall this day come on all them that dwell on the Face of the earth...(Luke 12:37-59; 21:34,35).

To see the whole of it more clearly we must take an excursion backwards in time, to the ideas and revelations that affected the mind of those first-century adepts in the Mystery of Christ--those who gave to the world its earliest versions of the Gospels. And in so doing we will learn something more of why the Body of Christ (the nonviolent image of the Angel of Divine Presence) was presented to the world as a Corpse suspended on the limbs of the Cosmic Tree, instead of, say, in the form of the Pantakrator, or Conquering Lord of lords and King of kings that He is. (Revelation 19:11-19). The Lord presented Himself in both forms to the mind of the early church, as the God of War and the God of Peace--as Warrior and pacifist. To perceive Him in the first form is immediately to become Him in the second form, as it is written: Follow Peace with All men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14).

Jesus said, Whoever has come to understand the world has found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior to the world...(Gospel of Thomas 56; 1 Corinthians 1:18-24).

It is the latter, the form of the Sacrificial Lamb, that we must emulate. It has to do with the process of human transformation, with the Abel-like spirit that God has been creating in Their children since the beginning. It has to do with the great Non-violent Sacrifice, or Yajna, of the Vedas, which prefigured the sacrifice of Isaac in the time of Abraham (Brahma), which in turn prefigured the sacrifice of Christ two thousand years later (Galatians 3:16; 29), and which still defines and inspires the hearts and minds of the true Remnant in our time. (Please compare 1 Kings 19:18 with Revelation 11:13). The doctrine of non-violence has its origins in the West, in the teachings of Adam, or Manu, in the garden of Eden. These teachings anticipated the end of the Atlantean age, and those events that first began to set those earliest of pacifists (who heard and obeyed the instructions of their fathers, and which were characterized in the collective sense by the spirit of Abel) apart from those who remained warriors, despite the teachings (who were later characterized in the figures of Cain and then Nimrod). These pacifists, the earliest adepts in the religion of Adam (the religion of Manu), were also the earliest adepts in the Vedic religion:

"I want to argue that Christianity traces its theological descent, not from a single Judaic line, but from two revelatory lines that converge upon the Jesus of history. And this is not in the end a question of historic probability; it is rather a question of logic. So in speaking of the unacknowledged Vedanta behind Christianity, I mean no more or no less than that the logical precondition of orthodox-Christological formulation is the Hindu-Vedanta premise that Atman is Brahman--where the identity is instantiated by the subject of those formulations, namely the person (Purusha) of Jesus…(p.11).

What Christianity claims to be uniquely true of Jesus, Hinduism claims to be universally true of mankind…(p.12).

There is a dialectic between Hinduism and Judaism such as the two halves of the truth apportioned between them cannot unite until that which is meant by the two taken together is found in Jesus who embodies their union…(p.14).

You tell me that I have done nothing more than place Jesus midway between the primal person of the Rig Veda, standing resplendent in the morning of the world, and the apocalyptic figure of the son of man standing on the horizon of futurity…(p.69).

We begin to see Jesus for what he really is, Beginning, Middle, and End…(p.70)... Jesus Purusha, by Ian Davie.

__________

There is a Fig Tree in ancient story, the Giant Aswaitha, the Everlasting, Rooted in Heaven, its branches earthward. Each of its leaves is a song of the Vedas, and he who knows it knows all the Vedas.

Downward and upward its branches bending are fed by the Gunas (the interplay of three worlds-the Higher, the Lower, and the In-between).

The buds it puts forth are the things of the senses. Roots it also has reaching downwards into this world, the roots of man's actions.

What its form is, its end and beginning, its very nature, can never be known here (in India). Bhagavad Gita xv..

We have already begun to see how the figure of the Hindu Trinity fits into the dimensions of the Cosmic World Tree, alongside that of the figure of Christ. (Thus the name Hesus-Crisna, Jesus Christ). And we see how the Lotus Feet of Vishnu (where the lower mind opens up to the meaning of all things), are situated at the same place on the Oracle as the Feet of the Mystery of Christ, here at the Western ends of the earth; and we have learned how just as one of the rivers that anciently flowed out of the lower garden of Eden is the source of the Heavenly Nile, so another of them, also carrying the teachings of Adam (Man, Manu) with it, found its way to India to become the mysterious source and the headwaters of the Sacred Ganges as well:

"Ganga swept down in Three great installments, and Shiv standing on Mount Himalaya, caught Ganga in his matted hair to mitigate the impact. At length Shiv allowed a part of Ganga to fall to the earth and Bhagirath blowing the conch given to him by the god Vishnu led Ganga to the seas. Later She was taken to Patal (Hades, the Nether region back in the West) so that the Sixty Thousand sons of Sagar were purified and saved from doom.

On the way to the Nether region what happened to Ganga is no less interesting. Accompanying Bhagirath, Ganga asked him at what spot his Sixty Thousand relations were lying whom she was to deliver. As he could not inform her the location, Ganga before entering the sea divided herself into One Hundred streams so as to ensure the salvation of the cursed wherever they might be lying. When Ganga was thus falling from heaven on the earth, the gods prayed to Brahma that they also needed Ganga in the heavens to wash off their sins. At this Brahma assured them that a part of Ganga would remain in heaven too…

Hindus particularly choose this river for holy rituals because the merits of works performed here become manifold in their results. Another name of Ganga is Vishnupadi, THE ONE FLOWING FROM THE FOOT OF GOD VISHNU. Vishnu Paran says that Ganga encloses Brahma's Great City situated on Mount Meru (the moveable Mount Zion) and then divided into Four mighty rivers flowing in Four directions." Gods and Goddesses of India, New Delhi, pp.113-116.

There is a Heavenly Ganges in the same way as there is a Heavenly Nile, because the two of them came down from their common source in the garden of Eden. Thus to meditate on the flow of the Ganges as it descends from above, and as it enters back into the encircling oceans of the world, is to enter into the stream of the great Impersonal Presence of Brahma, the Universal World-Soul. It leads to rebirth again in this world. To meditate on the hidden source of the Ganges, however, is not only to return in mind to the Foot of this great Mystery in the garden of Eden, but it is to ultimately find the center of it as well, and the Doorway that lies at the hidden center of the Universal Mystery, which also leads the perfected soul out of this world into the Light of the world beyond--to the State of Nirvanah.

Describing a particular ritual mask used in Vedic times in India, one commentator says: "The cross carried on the cheeks of this mask is a pre-Christian symbol of great importance. It symbolized the start of the first worship of God in heaven, which came at the time of the so-called creation, c.5500 B.C. In the Vedic literature of India the primordial man is hanged upon the Cosmic Cross. He sacrifices himself in order to re-create the universe, as did Odin on the tree Yggdrasil. The cross then symbolizes the axis of the rotating universe joining the upper with the lower portions of the universe, and the left with the right." As we learn to see how these ideas got to India from the West in the first place, we will also see how they found their way back out of the East to the West again, not only in the time of Christ but long before that in the archetypal wanderings of Brahma and Sarasvati, who in the Hebrew scriptures become none other than our own Hebrew parents Abraham and Sarah.

But first: In Rishi Dayananda Sarasvati's commentary on the Holy Rigveda we are told that despite the presence of gods many and lords many in the Hindu system, Hinduism itself, like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (being among the earliest expressions of Adamic wisdom), is a purely Monotheistic faith. Howbeit, Paul says, has not every man this knowledge?...(1 Corinthians 8:7):

"According to the unanimous opinion of the seers and sages of India…the Vedas were revealed by the Omniscient God in the beginning of creation. The meaning of the word 'Veda' is knowledge. (Compare the word DAat "knowledge" in Kabbalistic tradition). It is derived from the root 'vid' to know. By Veda we mean knowledge given by the Omnipotent and Omniscient Lord of the Universe at the commencement of human creation….

Manu--the first law-giver after the Vedas has sung the glory of the (Four) Vedas…As there is no greater teacher for a child than its mother, so there is no greater teaching for anyone than Veda.

'O blessed land of Hind (India--does it not stretch from the East all the way to Eden in the West?), thou art worthy of reverence, for in thee God has revealed the knowledge of Himself.'… THE VEDAS TEACH NOTHING BUT MONOTHEISM OF THE PUREST KIND…

God is All-pervading, Radiant, and Formless, free from physical wounds as He is without sinews, Most Holy, Unpierced by any sin (Here we have a repartee aimed at Christianity. We imagine, however, that it was aimed at those Western missionaries who brought no more of an understanding of the Four Gospels into India with them, than an understanding of the Four Vedas away with them when they left), Knower of the mind of all, All-conquering, and Self-existent. He created the objects of the world for His eternal subjects--immortal souls. One God alone who is the giver of true happiness and bliss is to be worshipped by all.'

It is true that some scholars maintain that the Vedas enjoin upon us the worship of many gods such as Indra, Agni, Mitra, Varuna, etc.. But their idea is entirely wrong. In the Vedas these gods, and other words of this type, are expressions used principally for the One God. For instance, we are told in the Rigveda…that the Supreme Spirit is the protector of all, and He pervades and gives light to all bright things. He is called Indra or the Glorious; Mitra or the Friendly; Varuna or the Greatest and the Best; Agni or Adorable. Though One, He is called by the wise by many names…The learned and the wise describe the One existing God in many forms of expressions. (This makes absolute spiritual sense, see Exodus 3:13,14; 6:3).

In the Rigveda 10.82.3 the idea of the One God is put in the following manner: 'Our Father who is the All-creating God and who is the Disposer, knoweth all the worlds and all things existing; He is the only One reality, the Name Giver of all objects. Him alone all other beings attain for He is the only solution of all our interrogations.' pp. xli-xliv.

THE HOLY RIGVEDA, MANDALA 1, SUKTA 1….Of the first hymn comprising nine verses in the First Book of the Holy Rigveda, the sage is Madhu-Chhandras, and the subject is Agni. There in the first verse, instruction is imparted by God regarding His ownself and the physical signification of the word Agni. (Fire), (Ignition), (In the beginning).

MANTRA 1…Glorify the Self-Effulgent God the Supreme Leader, the Eternal Support of the Universe, the Illuminator of all noble activity.

PURPORT…It should be understood that both the physical and spiritual implications of the Mantra are to be grasped through the double meaning of the term 'Agni'…

The Vedic law was revealed by God for the welfare of all souls. It is for this reason that…(both) GOD AND FIRE (THE THERMIC FORCE) should be understood…In the case of the (physical) fire, the meaning of the Mantra is: 'I long for the acquisition of, or to make use of, the fire which gives many articles produced with the help of science and industries…to be used in every season, the producer of gold, and other beautiful objects, giver of victory in the battles through weapons (BE CAREFUL HERE...A MAN WITH SUCH WEAPONS AT HIS DISPOSAL IS A DEVIL, ANGELS ON THE OTHER HAND ARE INSTRUMENTS IN THE HAND OF GOD.), and Illuminator of all objects…' (pp.1-3).

Thus Moses says of the very process of transformation that is occurring in the world today (both technologically and spiritually): For the Lord thy God is a Consuming Fire. (Deut.12:24; Heb.12:29). And Paul, who was accused of "cutting the shoots," and saying "perhaps there are Two," also says:

Now as touching things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge (however) puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

But if any man love God the same is known by Him.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there are gods many and lords many).

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ (Hesus-Crishna), by whom are all things, and we by him.

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge... (1 Corinthians 8:1-7).

The Vedic story, along with the Hebrew story, begins in Eden, in the myths and legends of the Atlantean age, and has its roots in the realization that both types--those who were like Cain, and those who were like Abel (the spirits of both the children of Darkness and the children of Light)--were already abroad in the earth at that time. They emerged together as a direct result of the Torah, or the Veda, that was handed down by the Spirit (by angels) to Adam, and then by the adepts in this philosophy to the rest of the world. The very First Principle of this revelation was, and still is, the Principle of Unity, or the Oneness of God's Presence in all things and in the sum of all events. Transgression against this First Principle is only possible within the Great Circle of this Adamic revelation. (Every nation, and every individual who wages war in the Name of this God is ultimately in violation of this first precept of the Oracles of God). Outside of the Circle of this revelation (outside of Christ's teachings), there is no transgression. Or, in other words, outside of this Great Circle of historical events there is no other Presence, and no other will in force but God's. So it is those who proclaim the Name of God, and by that we mean the Name of Christ, who are in transgression of God's precepts, and not the other nations of the earth. (See Romans 4:15).

OF THE TWO SPIRITS IN MAN

All that ever was and is comes from God. Before things came into existence He determined the plan of them; and they fill their appointed roles. It is in accordance with His glorious design that they discharge their functions. Nothing can be changed. In His hands lies the government of all things. God is that which sustains them in their needs.

Now this God created man (Adam) to rule the world, and appointed for him Two spirits after whose direction he was to walk until the final inquisition. They are the spirits of Truth and Perversity. The origin of Truth lies in the Fountain of Light (the Spiritual state of mind), and that of Perversity in the Wellspring of Darkness (the Natural impulse). All who practise righteousness are under the dominion of the Prince of Lights, and walk in the ways of Light; whereas all who practice perversity are under the dominion of the Prince of Darkness.

Through the angel of Darkness, however, even those who practice righteousness are made liable to error. All their sins and their iniquities, all their guilt and their deeds of transgression are the result of his dominion; And this, by God's inscrutable design, will continue until the time appointed by Him. Moreover, all of men's affliction and their moments of tribulation are due to this being's malevolent sway. All the spirits that attend upon him are bent on causing the children of Light to stumble. Howbeit, the God of Israel and the Angel of His Truth are always there to help them.

It is God who created these spirits of Light and Darkness (see Genesis 1:16), and made them the basis of every act, the instigators of every deed, and the directors of every thought… This is why these spirits operate in the world. The enlightenment of man's heart, the making straight before him all the ways of righteousness and truth, the implanting in his heart of fear for the judgment of God, of a spirit of humility, of patience, of abundant compassion, of perpetual goodness, of insight, of perception, of that sense of the Divine Power that is based at once on an apprehension of God's works, and a reliance on His plenteous mercy, of a spirit of knowledge informing every plan of action, of a zeal for righteous government, of a hallowed mind in a controlled nature, of an abounding love for all who follow the truth, of a self-respecting purity which abhors the taint of filth (in one's self), these are the things in the world that come to those in the world who walk in communion with the spirit of Truth. And the guerdon of all who walk in its ways is health and abundant well-being (abundant life, not abundant wealth), with long-life and fruition of seed along with eternal blessings and everlasting joy in the life everlasting, and a Crown of Glory and a Robe of Honour, amid Light perpetual. __________

The old king looked at the ancient sword, and saw there written the story of ancient wars between good and evil, the opening of the Waters, the Flood sweeping giants away, how they suffered and died, that race who hated the ruler of us and received judgment from His hands; surging waves that found them wherever they fled. Beowulf, lines 1685-95, translated by Burton Raffel.

THE THREEFOLD REGION OF LIGHT (East, North, and West).

The Vedic story emerges from the Waters that overflowed the Atlantean age, of which Plato wrote: "In a single day and night of rain…Atlantis disappeared and was sunk beneath the sea." (The Timaeus, 25). What sort of flood did God bring across the earth in those days? It was not a literal, geological event, but rather a flood of human events. It was a flood of War. It flowed over the mountains and hills, and along the river valleys and across the sea. It encompassed the entire Atlantean civilization, as it is written: And the waters which thou sawest…are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. (Revelation 17:15):

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind... (Isaiah 17:12,13).

And the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined...(Daniel 9:26).

These wars are the underlying subject of Plato's discourse on Atlantis, how it sank beneath the waves. (Psalms 65:7; Isaiah 28:16,17; Isa. 54:9). Did Atlantis literally disappear? No, but the events concerning it disappeared beneath the historical recollections of man, under the many subsequent waves of migrations and civilizations--but not completely. They were preserved in Egypt, from whence Plato learned of them, and in the Vedas, in the oral traditions of many indigenous peoples and in the Torah.

In his Atlantis/Europe: The Secret of the West, Dmitri Merejkowski, writing just after the First World War, said:

"It is possible that a sincere will for peace, a horror of war, and a repugnance to war really exist on the surface, in the 'diurnal soul' of post-war Europe; but the farther you go into the 'nocturnal soul' the more perceptable becomes that which may be called the attraction of a second war. The apparent 'peace'…more and more reminds us of the still mirror-like but already inevitable, alluring smoothness of the River Niagra as it approaches the waterfall, whose still distant but gradually roaring noise becomes portentously audible. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AS WE STRENGTHEN THE OUTER ORDER WITHOUT GIVING THOUGHT TO THE INNER, WE STRENGTHEN THE WALLS OF A PROJECTILE LOADED WITH POWDER; THE STRONGER THE WALLS THE GREATER SHALL BE THE EXPLOSION.

Within the next twenty-thirty-fifty years there will be another war. If not we, then our children, our grandchildren…shall see it: everyone knows it or has a premonition of it. THEY SAY, 'PEACE, PEACE!' BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE 'WAR,WAR, WAR!'...

Down below (still hidden within the heart of Western man) is the powder cellar of Fascism; on the upper floor is the Soviet laboratory of explosive objects, AND IN BETWEEN THEM, IN THE MIDDLE OF EUROPE,IS THE AGONY OF LABOR: SHE WANTS TO GIVE BIRTH TO PEACE, BUT IS GIVING BIRTH TO WAR… Russian Communism, the frozen block of war, is slowly thawing under the sun of European peace; when it has thawed completely, it will fall on Europe…This prophetic vision…of the past century has come to pass: Russia--a big part of Europe, comprising a sixth of the world's land-has fallen away, while the builders of the European house are seeking 'stabilization' over the abyss. EVEN WHILE THEY TALK OF PEACE, THEY 'WEAVE THE SPIDER'S WEB,' WHICH CAN ONLY BE BROKEN BY THE IRON OF WAR… The bull, advancing to combat, bellows pitifully; thus Europe (and America), advancing to war, calls for peace. (See 1 Thessalonians 5)

At the very beginning of the twentieth century, the ocean liner 'Titanic,' carrying American multi-millionaires and their families, came into collision at night, in the fog…and sank to the bottom of the sea so suddenly that only a few were saved... The sinking of the 'Titanic' was the initial picture in the new chapter of universal history, the First World War; and, perhaps, also the second, the last; there shall be no third…(our author forgot that the Fire was destined to fall Three times...2 Kings 1:7... to 2 Peter 3:1-14).

' Look, Look! The earth has fallen away!'…What! Fallen away?--It is a fact. There had been a plain in front of the house, AND NOW IT STANDS ON THE SUMMIT OF AN IMMENSE MOUNTAIN. The horizon has fallen, and close to the house there yawns a steep, black, gaping abyss...'Look there…look there!' Whispers a neighbor. Everything around us begins to tremble, and there, in that flying chaos is heard a crash, and thunder, and a thousand-voiced iron clamor…IT IS THE EARTH GIVING VOICE TO ITS TERROR. 'IT IS THE END! THE END OF EVERYTHING!'

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT FOR TWENTY-FIVE CENTURIES AFTER PLATO THERE HAS NOT BEEN A VISION WHICH RESEMBLE ATLANTIS MORE THAN THIS. It is possible that Turgenev, who saw it forty years before the Russian Revolution, realized its true meaning less than others; though he accurately named it 'The End of the World.'…This vision is both Russian and universal, but it is no longer European, because to be a 'European' no longer means being 'universal.' In order to understand that 'the end of the world' is a Russian vision, we must recall the fact that our whole literature from Chadaev, who all his life, in mortal terror, prayed for Russia and Europe together: 'Thy kingdom come,' and Gogol, who became mad and died from the same terror, and Dostoevsky, 'the man of the Apocalypse,' to Solovyov, with his story about 'the end of the world' and Rozanov with his 'Apocalypse of Our Time'--THE WHOLE RUSSIAN LITERATURE, THE SOUL OF RUSSIA, IS ESCHATOLOGY--THE RELIGION OF THE END. Celebrated as it is…this literature remains unknown in this, its chief essence. 'And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice…And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come), then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.'

If the (last) world war shall be the self-destruction of humanity, it will be because 'endless Progress,' that most sanguinary of all Molochs, will demand it…There is freedom from this Moloch, (however), in eschatology, a method of religious-historical knowledge, not any less exact than any other scientific method..

In order to understand the Middle Universal history, it is necessary to see its source and its end; in order to understand the meaning of a course, it is necessary to see where it began and where it leads. The first knowledge given to man was 'I,' the existence of the inner world of personality-psychology; the second knowledge was 'not-I,' the existence of the outer world-cosmology; the third knowledge was 'I.' and 'not-I'-eschatology. All these three sciences are equally exact, but not equally easy to grasp. The first is the easiest, the last most difficult. ALL...CIVILIZATION MOVES TOWARD THE MIDDLE--TOWARD COSMOLOGY; ALL RELIGION TOWARD THE LAST EXTREME--ESCHATOLOGY.

A FEELING OF THE END IS THE SECRET FLAME OF ALL RELIGIONS, OF CHRISTIANITY IN PARTICULAR…In that which we call 'paganism,' and which may be called 'Christianity' before Christ--in Greek Mystery, the heritage of Egypt, Babylon, Canaan-Atlantis according to Plato; pre-flood humanity, according to the Book of Genesis--eschatology may be found. 'Lightning is the helmsman of all; Lightning directs everything.' 'THIS FIRE IS INTELLIGENT--THE CAUSE OF THE WHOLE WORLD-ORDER.' Thus is the Lightning of the Sun proclaimed by Heraclitus, sage and prophet of mysteries: 'FOR AS THE LIGHTNING COMETH OUT OF THE EAST, AND SHINETH EVEN UNTO THE WEST, SO SHALL THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE.' 'The judgment of the world and of all that is in the world comes out of Fire.' 'When the Fire shall come, it will judge all and take all'--thus again Heraclitus proclaims, as it were, the Fire of the Sun: 'I am come to send Fire on the earth, and what will I, if it be already kindled?' It is this Fire of the End that unites the two humanities, the first and the second, History and Pre-History.

IN THE BOOK OF ENOCH, THE HUMAN GIANTS OF THE PRE-FLOOD WORLD, 'SONS OF GOD,' THE FALLEN ANGELS, ARE MEN OF THE EXTREME WEST…THE SECRET OF THE WEST IS OLDER THAN THE SECRETS OF THE EAST. Egypt remembers this. 'To the West! To the West!' have cried, without ceasing for six-thousand years, the female mourners in the Egyptian funeral processions. The West--Amenti--is the eternal birthplace of human souls--the 'kingdom of the dead.' …

IN THE DARK SEA OF THE WEST, THERE DESCENDS EACH DAY THE SUN OF EGYPT AND BABYLON, AS THERE ONCE DESCENDED THE SUN OF ATLANTIS…These two voices, Plato and Enoch, speaking of the same thing, are yet very different from one another…That which the sage desires and cannot do, the prophet does: he ties the two ends, the past with the future, Atlantis with the Apocalypse. He begins the narrative of the Last Judgment of the first humanity with a prophecy of the second: 'Lo, the Lord cometh with His holy darkness, He will pass judgment.' Plato could not say this 'He cometh'; nor could Greece say it, nor Egypt, nor Babylon--the whole of the pre-Christian world--Israel alone could say it….(pp.13-78):

__________

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood (the wars) they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark.

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall the coming of the son of man be. (Open up the pages of the Book of Ezekiel, here in America, in our very own time)...(Matthew 24:37-39).

__________

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh (the lower nature) is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Make thee an Ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the Ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch (with pitch darkness, so that the violent ones cannot see or understand it).

And this is the fashion which thou shalt make of it: The Length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, the Breadth of it 50 cubits, and the Height of it 30 cubits...(Genesis 6:13-15).

Literalists accuse others of saying that the Bible is not literally true when these others say that it is composed of allegories and metaphors, and symbols which cannot be interpreted literally. It is the wisdom, or the truth of the allegory, however, that makes the Bible literally true. Noah's ark provides a prime example. Those who insist on the literal inerrancy of the Bible have also sent expeditions to Mount Ararat to find a literal ark. They insist that it is literally there, and that it literally carried all the animal life on earth above the waters of the flood to safety; and that after the waters receded the ark rested, sending all of its inhabitants out to repopulate the world (to say nothing of the rich, and exquisite racial diversity that has occurred to the human species in this short 4,400 years). We also say the story is true. We depart from the literalists, however, when we say that the story did not happen as it was written, but that it is "happening" as it was written. The ark symbolizes the entire vessel of History, upon which all who are destined to survive the judgment wars of this age are riding. All the generations since the time of Adam have been aboard. (The animals and other beasts symbolize, as we shall come to see, the various intellectual and emotional levels, and behavioral patterns and spiritual conditions of the whole human family). It was built of wood cut out of the ancient forest, where the World Tree also grew in the midst. It was, in fact, constructed to carry the World Tree itself, to preserve its meanings; indeed, to carry it across the Sea toward the East so that it could be reconciled to all of its own Higher meanings. To see how it was constructed we will simply divide the first chapter of Genesis into two periods, each illustrated by a time-line "six days" in length:

The first line is a record of the vast time that passed between the creation of the Universe (the Great Emanation), and the time, six cosmic days later, when God appeared to the mind of Adam. (Genesis 1:1 to 1:26). The second line is, also according to the Scriptures, divided into six days of One Thousand years each. It reflects the period that has transpired between God's revelation to Adam and our own time. Together these lines create the dimension of the Ark which is 300 cubits long and 50 cubits wide, or Six times longer than it is wide. Then into this vessel we shall lay the structure of the Tree of Life itself.

Why is the ark 50 cubits wide (aside from its own natural proportions to its length)? Because Fifty is the number assigned by Nature to the Day of the Great Jubilee, wherein God has ordained a release from the Dark powers of this age. (Leviticus 25:10-13). Fifty is also the number assigned to the American empire from which the Nation-Church must be delivered.

The Ark is also 50 cubits wide because it is 300 cubits long, and this because the number 300 is equal in the Hebrew numerical system of things to the words RVCh ALHIM, Ruach Elohim. It is a name (as we shall see in the chapter on the Holy Name) indicative of the Union that exists between the Divine Father and Mother. She, who fills up the dimensions of the Tree of Life, and who is the Spirit of Elohim in the world, has numerical characteristics as well, as do all phenomenal realities--so that we can conceptualize Her Presence in our minds--and this number is: R=200, V=6, Ch=8, A=1, L=30, H=5, I=10, M=40, for a total of 300. (We will also see how this number 300, which in its sum equals the value of the Hebrew letter Shin, plays its part in the construction of the name Jehoshua--(YHWH + Shin) or YHShWH-- which is the combined name of the Father, Mother, and the Son).

And when the ark is viewed sideways it has Three stories. (Gen.6:16). This was the ancients' way of expressing their understanding of the Three-storied nature of the human life-force, composed as we are of Spirit, Soul, and Body. (1 Thess.5:23). There is a window in the upper level. This means that none can "see" until they have attained to the spiritual life. The ark is Thirty cubits high. This number expresses the dimensions of the Mystery of the Angel of Presence (the Great Mandala) on the Tree of Life. From the Navel, the center of the mystery, its limbs extend upwards to the sefirot named Love and Power (or Mercy and Judgment), and downwards to those named Endurance and Majesty...

For there are Five trees for you in Paradise which remain undisturbed summer and winter and whose leaves do not fall. Whosoever becomes acquainted with them will not experience death...(The Gospel of Thomas 19).

These Five add up to the number 30. This is also why the Scriptures describe the time that this mystery began to dawn upon the earth in the time of John the Baptist by saying: That Jesus himself began to be about Thirty years of age. (Luke 3:23). We also notice that the center of the Mystery of Christ fits into the same place on the Oracle as the Door of the ark. Thus the words: "I am the door." (John 10:9). This is the door, of course, that leads the soul into this world, and then out of it again. The path leads inwards. It also leads upwards, to the summit of Mount Zion, or Horeb.

GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handiwork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech or language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.

In them he hath set the Tabernacle of the Sun. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of heaven, and the circuit to the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof...(Psalm 19:1-6).

There is no place on earth that lacks an understanding of these mysteries, or that does not contain the structure of these ideas within the structure of their own. In an 1984 work entitled The Migration of Symbols, Count Goblet D'Alviella writes:

"We find in Greece a third cycle of mythical tales WHICH REFERS US MORE DIRECTLY TO THE HINDU TRADITION OF THE SACRED TREE; this is the expedition of Hercules (Samson) to the garden of the Hesperides, whence he carries off the golden apples GUARDED BY DRAGONS…It is noteworthy that, on a Greek vase reproduced by Guigniaut, the Tree round which the dragon is coiled is depicted between two Hesperides, one of whom gathers the fruit for Hercules whilst the other diverts the attention of the dragon…

The Edda of Scandanavian mythology exhibits A PERFECT TYPE OF COSMOLOGICAL TREE; this is the Ash Yggdrasil, the most beautiful of trees, which has Three roots. One spreads out toward the upper spring, Urdur, where the Ases (the Higher states of mind) hold council…The second root stretches toward the land of the giants of the Frost; under this root springs the well of Mimir the first Man and king of the Dead; in this well all knowledge and all wisdom dwell (see Gen.26:18-33); Odin himself, in order to quench his thirst with its waters, had to leave one of his eyes in pledge. (see Zechariah 11:17). As for the third, it descended to Nifleim, the Scandanavian Hades, where it is ever gnawed at by the dragon…Finally Odin spent Nine nights (trying to discover the Foundation of these mysteries) under its shade before discovering the runes, an act which recalls the great meditation of Buddha under THE SACRED FIG TREE…

As regards the Slavonic peoples, Manhardt and de Gubernatis have recorded more than one legend bearing witness TO THEIR BELIEF IN A COSMOLOGICAL TREE. Such is, among the Russians, the Oak Tree of the island Bujan, on which the Sun retires to rest every evening and from which it rises every morning; WATCHED BY A DRAGON, it is inhabited by the Virgin of the Dawn. (Ps.110:3)… In brief, both Semites and Aryans were acquainted with THE TREE OF HEAVEN, THE TREE OF LIFE, AND THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE…Do such coincidences suffice to justify the assumption that all these traditions have one and the same origin or even that they represent an old stock of folk-lore bequeathed to the Aryans and Semites by the common ancestors? (pp.166-69)

.Comparative archeology shows clearly how these exchanges are brought about, when it enables us to see how the Mesopotamian type of the Sacred Tree was adopted by the Persians to represent THEIR TREE OF IMMORTALITY, by the Buddhists to typify THEIR TREE OF WISDOM; and by Christians to symbolize THEIR TREE OF TEMPTATION. Each race, each religion, has its independent type, which it preserves and develops in accordance with the spirit of its own traditions, approximating it, however, by the addition of extraneous details and accessories, to the equivalent image adopted in the plastic art of its neighbors. Thus the current that makes the Lotus of Egypt blossom on THE PARADISIAC TREE OF INDIA has its counter-current which causes the Asclpias acida of the Hindu Kush to climb upon THE SACRED TREE OF ASSYRIA. Art and mythology comply, in this respect, with the usual processes of civilization, which is not the fruit of a single Tree, but has always been developed by grafts and cuttings between the (various) branches of the human family. (p.176).

The subject is a tree, standing apparently for the Cosmic Tree of Hindu mythology, which sprang from the primordial egg (the birth of that mythological age) in the bosom of the chaotic ocean. It spreads out into three branches, each of which supports a Sun, whilst the fourth and larger Sun is placed at the bifurcation of the branches.Guignaut imforms us…that this image was the symbol of the 'trimurti,' the Hindu Trinity…I think, however, that he was right when he added a foot-note: 'THERE ARE HERE THREE SUNS, YET IT IS ALWAYS THE SAME SUN.' In reality might not the object of this combination be to represent the Sun in three points or positions WHICH CIRCUMSCRIBE ITS APPARENT DAILY COURSE, ITS RISING, ITS ZENITH, AND ITS SETTING; which the figurative language of Vedic mythology has rendered THE THREE STEPS OF VISHNU." (see Revelation 10:5). (p.60,61).

So with the Oracle built into it--providing those who had access to its dimensions and its meanings with an ability to see not only into the past, thus into the future, but also with the directions to think transcendentally--the mystery of the Ark was taken aboard some ocean-plying vessel and, escaping the ravages of those ancient Atlantean wars, was brought from ancient Eden to Britain (or Albion, or Tyrus as it was called by the prophets…Ezekiel 26 to 28)…

For in olden times, when the proud giants perished, the hope of the world governed by the hand escaped in a weak vessel, and left to all a seed of generation…(Wisdom of Solomon 14:6. KJV).

From there the ancient adepts passed over to the mainland of Europe in search of the Navel of the Earth--the place named Beauty on the Tree of Life. There was no doubt a pre-existing Mother cultus located there. Ezekiel preserves the encounter between the emerging cult of Adam (the procreative powers of the Male principle) and the older cultus of the Mother in the words: Thy father was an Amorite (a Westerner), and thy mother a Hittite (or of the East). (Ezekiel 16:3). From this region in the center of Europe, which lay between the present-day cities of Vienna and Prague, and thereabouts, did the developing Hebrew (Shemitic) religion go out into the earth. It was these adepts (who were by then, in all their wanderings, becoming a fellowship comprised of every race), who divided the world into three realms, the Heavens (the East) above, the Earth (the West) below, and the Sea (the Middle Region, Europe, where the Great Dragon lives) in between. (Genesis 10:25). (Please see the subchapter entitled The Vedic Connection). The whole complex of ideas will be hidden in time in the figures of Shem, Japheth, and Ham. But because the Hebrew tradition was being closely guarded from the warring sons of Darkness, and because it was in a state of evolution itself, the oral traditions which sprang out of it, and the theology of Nature's three-foldness, found their way into the language systems and emerging doctrines of the various nations, and seemed to grow up with a life of their own ouside of Hebrew thought in the Greek, Hindu, Persian, and Egyptian traditions. As it was, however, they returned out of these places to the Center again in another three-fold set of Hebrew archetypes, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. A thorough study of world-history reveals how all of these traditions continued to inform each other, and how they were all brought back together as one in the Mystery of Christ.

The Hebrew story tells us that Noah planted a vineyard. (Gen.9:10). This vine was planted in the very center of the World Mystery, as it is written: I am the True Vine. (John 15:1-8). But when Noah forgot himself on that wine "which intoxicates the mind" (as almost the whole world is today…1 Thess.5:6,7; Jeremiah 25:27-33), it says that Ham saw the nakedness of his father. This immediately means that Ham is associated with the "lower regions," or those places on the earth that lay "below the Navel." When we understand that the "Navel" is located in the center of Europe we understand that the lower regions of the world lay in the West, and we see that Western Europe (Westward), was exactly the portion of the earth originally allotted to Ham, the father of Canaan:

"The will and counsel of God has for many reasons been concealed from men; first indeed, through bad instruction. Wicked associations…and other such evils, have filled the whole house of this world like some enormous smoke (A GREAT CLOUD), preventing those who dwell in it from seeing its founder aright…What then, is fitting for those who are within, excepting with a cry brought forth from the inmost hearts to invoke His aid, who alone is not shut up in the smoke-filled house, that He would approach and open the Door of the house, so that the smoke would be dissipated which is within, and the light of the Sun which shines without may be admitted." Peter to Clement, the Recognitions of Clement, ch. xv.

(And then the author of this text says): "SHEM OBTAINED HIS LOT OF A DWELLING PLACE IN THE MIDDLE REGION OF THE WORLD, IN WHICH IS THE COUNTRY OF JUDAEA (see Matthew 24:15-22), Japheth the Eastern, and Ham the Western." Chapter xxxi.

And Noah awoke…and said, cursed be Canaan (the offspring of Ham); a servant of servants shall he be to his brethren.

And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and Canaan shall be his servant.

God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem, and Canaan shall be his servant...(Genesis 9:24-27).

Shem was given the Middle portion of the earth, which was, in the geo-historical scheme of things, located in Central Europe (a symbol of that place in the universe from whence the entire Mystery of Creation itself emerged), and Japheth was given the Eastern, or upper portions. Japheth in this case represents the Mind, or the Intellect, which contains all the potential for higher thought, and is, in fact, the only means to it. Thus it says he shall dwell in the tents of Shem. Shem represents, in essence, the Soul, where the Intellect and the material form--the Body--are brought together. Shem possessed the knowledge of these things--of the mysteries of the Soul (where all things above are joined to all things below, or shall we say, where all things East are joined to those thing West). Thus those who possess the Center also possess the whole; so we will see in Shem, thus in Japheth's enlargement, the fact that this seed settled everywhere across the breadth of the mystery, from the West to the East, and back to the West again, as it was written: By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; everyone after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. (Gen.10:2-5). Ham on the other hand represents the flesh, or the Body, which serves them both--just as the entire Western world is facilitating the revelation of the mysteries of the lower world in our time. Neither of the three are literal individuals, however, but Hebrew types created to represent the emerging historical and metaphysical character of the entire human story...

Again, the spirit of Shem symbolizes the life of the Spirit radiating out from the center of reality, just as it does from the heart of every individual who is returning to the Source of all things. Japheth is the intellectual faculties in man, located in the mind, but destined to attain to spiritual maturity. And Ham symbolizes the physical body which supports and serves the two. But also "the ways of the flesh," and all those who are attached body and soul to the whole lower order of things (see Galatians 5:13-26). God cursed Canaan and not Ham because the Body itself is also capable of being brought to perfection when it is brought under subjection and made totally subservient to the higher faculties that have visited it, and which reside within it.

"Japheth and his wife were among the Eight occupants of the ark, thus surviving the 'flood.' (Gen.7:13; 1 Peter 3:11-22). Remaining childless until after the flood, they thereafter produced SEVEN SONS (please see in this number how the historical dimensions of the World-mystery were already established in the minds of the Hebrew authors): Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. (The author of this particular commentary, not realizing that the character of Japheth is not a literal person, but part of a wide-spreading historical allegory, will nevertheless rightly say): 'Historically Japheth was the progenitor of the Aryan race, or Indo-European branch of the human family.' (The author is right, but only in the sense that Japheth is also the progenitor of every individual, regardless of race, who has ever entered into these World-wide Hebrew mysteries. It has nothing, however, to do with a physical race, but entirely with a universal state of Mind. It has to do with the Spiritual race of Adam which is comprised of all races together)." The Bible Aid to Understanding.

The point to be made here is not that Japheth is the father of the Indo-European race alone, but that the Atlantean-Indo-European culture played a central role in the spread and disemmination of these universal Hebrew mysteries.

(However, up in Europe)…"In the eighteenth generation walled cities were built, armies were organized and armed (the spirits of Cain and Nimrod were abroad in the land), judges and laws were sanctioned, temples were built, and the princes of the nations were adored as gods.

In the nineteenth generation the descendants of him who was cursed after the flood (Canaan), going beyond their proper bounds which they had obtained in the Western regions, drove into the Eastern lands those who had obtained the Middle portion of the world, and pursued them as far as Persia, while themselves violently took the country from which they expelled them." "O Solon, Solon, you Greeks are all children, and there is no such thing as an old Greek. 'What do you mean by that?' inquired Solon. 'You are all young in mind,' came the reply: 'you have no belief rooted in the old tradition, and no knowledge hoary with age. And the reason is this. There have been and will be many different calamities to destroy mankind, the greatest of them by fire and water, lesser ones by countless other means. Your own story of how Phaethon, child of the sun, harnessed his father's chariot, but was unable to guide it along his father's course and so burnt up things on the earth and was himself destroyed by a thunderbolt, is a mythical version of the truth that there is at long intervals a variation in the course of heavenly and a consequent widespread destruction by fire of things on the earth…

OUR RECORDS TELL US HOW YOUR CITY CHECKED A GREAT POWER WHICH ARROGANTLY ADVANCED ITS BASE IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN TO ATTACK THE CITIES OF EUROPE AND ASIA. For in those days the Atlantic was navigable. There was an island (a continent), opposite the strait which you call (so you say) the Pillars of Hercules, an island larger than Libya and Asia combined; FROM IT TRAVELLERS IN THOSE DAYS COULD REACH THE OTHER ISLANDS, AND FROM THEM THE WHOLE OPPOSITE CONTINENT WHICH SURROUNDS WHAT CAN BE TRULY CALLED THE OCEAN. For the sea within the strait we are talking about is like a lake with a narrow entrance; the outer ocean is the real ocean and the land which entirely surrounds it is properly termed continent.

ON THIS ISLAND (this Continent) OF ATLANTIS HAD RISEN A POWERFUL AND REMATKABLE DYNASTY OF KINGS, WHO RULED THE WHOLE ISLAND, AND MANY OTHER ISLANDS AS WELL and parts of the continent; in addition it controlled within the strait, Libya (Africa) up to the borders of Egypt and Europe as far as Tyrrhenia. This dynasty, gathering its whole power together, attempted to enslave at a single stroke, your country and ours and all the territory within the strait… At a later time there was earthquakes and floods of extraordinary violence, and in a single dreadful day and night all your fighting men were swallowed up by the earth, and the island of Atlantis was similarly swallowed up by the sea and vanished; this is why the sea in that area is to this day impassable to navigation, which is hindered by mud just below the surface, the remains of a sunken island." (see Job 41:30). The Timaeus, Plato.

Thus the Shemites (and their mysteries) were driven out of Central Europe into the East, and the Canaanites took over their place in the center of things. With the way open to the Eastern regions, those in this warring state of mind also came down in time, and inhabited those regions that we now associate with Canaan, in Palestine, as it is written: And afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. (Gen.10:18). We shall also see--because the mysteries of the West were finding their way to the East (by primarily peaceful means, but also on the forefront and in the wake of tribal conquest); and because the elements of the mysteries were being disseminated in literary types and mirrored images (with Egypt in the East becoming a reflection of those things that will be fulfilled here in this Egypt/America in the West)--how and why the cult of Nimrod (the prototypical strong man--the son of Cush, the son of Ham), was also translated to Egypt. This spirit of Nimrod rose up in those times in the person of the great Pharaoh, the head of the first of Seven great Western empires that would rise up in time to symbolize and comprise the Seven Heads of the Great World Serpent. (see Revelation 12:3; Rev.17:10-12). And because the name of Cush found its way to that land, along with the mysteries of Nimrod, even as far as Ethiopia itself, it is thought that the name originated there, and by others that Ham must somehow be the progenitor of the African race. (It is all bad theology, bad history, and bad science). And likewise, the name of Shem was now associated with the East, and we imagine it to have originated there as well.

It was in the context of these same historical events that the followers of Indra (another pre-Mosaic name for YHVH), having escaped the ravages of these wars in the West, appeared in India. They had overcome the Dragon (the serpent in themselves as it were, as well as in the spirit of the sons of Darkness), not yielding to their warring ways. Thus it was in the great struggle that was already being waged between the mind of these children of Light (the Asvins, the Maruts and Rishis) and the mind of the children of Darkness, that the epic Vedic poems were composed. They tell of the judgment wars of God, of which the entire age of Adam is full, and of which the twentieth century is the terrible rising climax. And though these epic poems speak of holy wars against the sons of Darkness, the enlightened soul reading these accounts always rightly divides the Word of God, and realizes that the call to arms is never against the life of other human beings--for that is the way the sons of Darkness read the scriptures...

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;

(And for) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God...(2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

but against one's own self. The children of Light know that it is in the collective life of all other human beings that God Himself resides, and thus, that the battle must never be waged against other humans but always against the empire of one's own soul. Indeed, it is always against one's own natural inclinations to so-gallantly, as well as to so-ignorantly, participate in the terrible business of human warfare itself. We will see it later in Moses' allegorical commandment to go up and smite the Seven Nations greater and mightier than ourselves. (Deuteronomy 7:1,2). These enemies, Moses will tell the people as he expounds the Oral tradition, are not the peoples of the world themselves, but their fallen ways. It is these that we must overcome--in ourselves, as it is also written:

"This body O son of Kunti, is spoken of as the Field (of battle) (Ksetra); One who knows this, him the sages, who know the truth about both, call the Knower of the Field." (see Matthew 13:38). Bhagavad Gita, Chapter xiii.

There in the Vedas are the accounts of these holy wars as they were told in India many centuries before they were related again by the Hebrew scribes in the Torah, who in turn took these epic stories and projected the accounts of them far into the future, and into the events of our own times:

"I will now proclaim the heroic exploits of Indra, which he performed in the beginning. He killed the Dragon. He urged the waters (of Divine Wisdom) down. He broke open the channels in the mountains…He killed the Dragon who had been living in the mountain. (Please compare Revelation 12:7-11).

When Indra killed the first-born among the dragons, he was able to destroy the mysterious powers of those who had been wielding such powers. HE THEN PRODUCED THE SUN, ALSO THE CELESTIAL REGION, AND THE DAWN (and the mysteries began to take on those literary forms that found their way into the Hebrew texts)

Indra killed Vritra (the Dragon), the worst sinner…HE SPLIT UP HIS BODY LIKE THE TRUNK OF A TREE with his Vajra (Thunderbolt). The Dragon lay touching the earth below. In the midst of the waters that never stop, that never take a rest in their flow, THE BODY OF VRITRA (the Dragon) LAY CONCEALED…He who has Indra as a foe, lies there in eternal darkness." The Quintessence of the Rigveda, by C. Kunhan Raja.

When Indra released the waters it is said that he also broke open the Cow stalls and released the cows of Divine Light that had been penned up. The milk from these Cows was used in the production of the sacred Soma, the elixer of immortality, that sustained the gods. Thus Peter writes: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby. (1 Peter 2:2). That the milk of these sacred Cows represents the wisdom that accompanied the children of Israel on their return to the West is also told in the words: And ye shall grow forth and grow up as calves of the stall. (Malachi 4:2).

"The discovery of the Soma Path has been known to the Vedic poets. They speak of the gods as having known the path. It is among the mortals that Yama alone was the first to know the path, THAT MUST BE THE PATH THAT LEADS TO THE REGION OF LIGHT, THE HEAVENS DESCRIBED IN THE RIGVEDA:

'WHERE THERE IS LIGHT ETERNAL, IN WHICH REGION IS PLACED THE HEAVEN, O the purifying and purified Soma, place me in the region of immortality, free from injury. Where there is king Yama, the son of Vivasvat, where there is the threshold to the Celestial region, where there are these young waters, make me immortal in that region. Where movement is according to one's will, IN THE THREEFOLD CELESTIALREGION, IN THE THREEFOLD HEAVEN OF THE REGION OF LIGHT, where the worlds are full of Light, make me immortal in that region.'" The Quintessence of the Rigveda, pp.31,32.

THE RISHIS AND MARUTS, AND THE PATH OF RETURN

A study of Vedic lore will immediately reveal to the awakened eye the relationship that existed between the Rishis, those adepts of the Vedas (Of whom Brahma was chief, says Darah Shikoh in his Persian translation of the Upanishads), and those who returned to the center of the Oracle with Abraham in those ancient times. Or rather, those who returned in Abraham as it is written: I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. (2 Corinthians 6:16; Leviticus 26:11-13). As Brahma, the Divine Father (from whom Moses derived both the name and the figure of Abraham), was the Chief of the Rishis, travelling with the people, as well as in them, so we will see in the Vedic Maruts the spirit of those Essenes who secretly ascended to the height of the Mystery of the Father (and Mother) again in the time of Christ. (Acts 1:12). Thus in each we will see (not-directly mentioned but not-directly-concealed) the connections that existed between Vedic lore and the story of Abraham (Brahma) and Sara (Sarasvati) as it is told in the Torah, and as it is told again in the Gospels, as it is written: And if ye be Christ's, then ye are Abraham's (Brahma's) seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29).

"As worldly parents give knowledge (Daat) to their children…So God who is our Divine Father and Mother revealed the eternal truthes through the Vedas for the well-being of all people. (See Genesis 2:26). God is within and without all beings and things. The sages' hearts were pure and receptive, and God inspired them with knowledge..

By Rishis are meant, according to all ancient authorities, the seers who made out the secrets of the Vedas and propegated them...Those that after deep meditation realized the secret meanings of the Vedic mantras became Rishis by the grace of the Almighty." (p.li).

"God...the Omniscient Supreme Leader should be glorified and sought after by both the experienced sages and by students of Vedic lore...By the term 'Rishis'...are those solely devoted to the Almighty God for the accomplishment of their righteous goals of salvation or emancipation." Mandala 1, Hymn 1, p.9

"Why is it called Agni (Fire)? (see Leviticus 1:9,17; Lev.23:8,25). BECAUSE IT (FIRE) IS THE FORWARD LEADER. IT CARRIES WELL FORWARD IN RITUALISTIC UNDERTAKINGS LIKE YAJNAS (SACRIFICES).

IT MEANS: I glorify Self-Efullgent God who by His Vedic Speech bestows upon the wise the mighty means of performing great ritualistic undertakings."

"Anchara Shaka Pooni says the word 'Agni' can be derived from three verbal roots, viz...'TO GO,' 'TO GO AND WORSHIP,' or 'TO GO AND OFFER A BURNT SACRIFICE.'" (see Exodus 5:3). Mandala 1, Hymn 1, pp.5,6.

__________

Then on the Third Day Abraham (Brahma returning Westwards in the presence of His children) lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off...(Genesis 22:4).

__________

"And the Lord said to Abraham (those anonymous adepts in the Hebrew mysteries who returned to the center of the Oracle in the name of Brahma), Depart from THY LAND, and from THY KINDRED, and from THY FATHER'S HOUSE to a land that I will shew thee...

God, wishing to purify the soul of man, first of all gives it an impulse towards complete salvation, namely a change of abode, so as to quit the three regions--of the BODY, the OUTWARD SENSES, and (the old manner) of SPEECH.

For his country is the emblem of the body, and his kindred are a symbol of the outward senses, and his father's house is speech. Why so? Because the body derives its composition from the earth...And the outward senses are nearly connected with and akin to the mind, the irrational part to the rational, since they are both parts of the soul. But speech is the abode of the father because our Father is the mind which implants in each of its parts its own power, and distributes its energies among them...

And you must not wonder that Moses has called speech in man the abode of the mind, for he also says that the Mind, or the Universe, that is to say God, has for his abode his own Word...

And that he means by Abraham's country the Body, and by his kindred the Outward Senses, and by his father's house Uttered Speech, we have shown. But the commandment 'Depart from them,' is not like 'Be separated from them according to your essence' for that would be the injunction of one who was pronouncing a sentence of death. But it is the same as saying 'Be alienated from them in your mind,' allowing none of them to cling to you, standing above them all; they are your subjects, use them not as your rulers; since you are a king, LEARN TO GOVERN AND NOT BE GOVERNED." On the Migrations of Abraham, by Philo Judaeus.

Such enlightened persons approve of only Non-Violent beneficial acts done in the name of Yajnas."

"THIS MANTRA IS VERY SIGNIFICANT TO SHOW THAT THE YAJNAS (SACRIFICES) SANCTIONED BY THE VEDAS ARE NON-VIOLENT, AND THEY ALONE ARE ACCEPTABLE TO GOD AND HIS DEVOTEES--TRUTHFUL WISE PERSONS." Mandala 1, Hymn 1, pp.12,13.

__________

TRANSLATION: "O Most Adorable God, Thou art the upholder of all thoughtful persons, Giver of all Peace...Therefore kindly enable us to accomplish this Non-Violent and indestructable Yajna (Sacrifice) which is the cause of (all) happiness. (see Hebrews 12:13,14).

PURPORT: God creates and upholds all men and other beings...THEREFORE IT IS HE WHO AS THE PERFORMER OF THIS VAST YAJNA IN THE FORM OF THE UNIVERSE MAKES US HAPPY." Mandala 1, Hymn XIII, pp.186,187.

HEAVEN (The East)

EARTH (The West)

Behold THE LAMB of God...(John 1:36).

For such a high priest became us, who is holy, HARMLESS, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this did he Once, when he offered up himself...(Hebrews 8:26,27).

Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one that teach you again what be the first principles of the Oracles of God...(Hebrews 5:10-14).

__________

As a Lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you...(1 Peter 1:19,20).

__________

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps...

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to Him that judgeth righteously:

Who his own self bare our sins in his own Body on the Tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed...(1 Peter 2:21-25).

__________

The Nature of God is again taught in the 8th Mantra:

TRANSLATION: "O God, we approach Thee in a spirit of sincere humility, as Thou art ever decayless in Thy blissful state where there is an end of all miseries; Self-Effulgent, the Protector of all Non-Violent acts and righteous persons (see 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10), the constant Illuminator of Truth, the True Eternal Vedas and the Eternal Divine Laws operating in the universe."

__________

MANTRA 9: "O Omniscient God, be easily accessible to or attainable by us by bestowing upon us such beneficient knowledge as will enable us to obtain all excellent objects and means necessary to attain happiness here and hereafter, as a Father is to his Son. (And as the name Isaac means 'laughter,' or 'the attainment of joy and happiness'), Do grant us the grace to be united with Thee for our happiness and welfare." Mandala 1, Hymn 1, pp.19,20.b

In those Rishis (Brahmin seers), and Maruts, we will see the spirit of those who came to acquire a universal frame of reference, and an understanding of the laws of transformation that are operating in the universe. We will see in them the spirit of those who returned to the hidden center of the Oracle--to the Three-fold Celestial Region--in the time of Abraham, and then again later in the time of Christ, to partake in the Great Non-Violent Universal Sacrifice, the sacrifice of Isaac (or Ishmael, if we can understand it), a mystery which Paul would sum up centuries later in the words: If you be Christ's then ye are Abraham's seed. (Galatians 3:13-29). They entered under the overshadowing Presence of the God of War himself, teaching others as they went that the only sacrifice acceptable to God is a non-violent sacrifice, accompanied by a humble spirit, and a contrite heart. And that in every future struggle between Light and Darkness (1 Thess.5), it is the sacrifice of Abel, and the spirit of Abel alone, that is acceptable to God. (Hebrews 12:24).

Thus we learn to see in the literary methods of the Vedas some of the methods later employed in the structure of the Torah, as well as in the later accounts of the Hebrew Kings (being continually aware, however: we are not at any time to reimagine that the Children of Promise may possess or erect borders around any particular land on earth, all of which results in wars that enslave the heart and mind of those who erect them. The children of Promise comprise a Nation of servants, and as such must remain as strangers and pilgrims in the earth all the days of their lives. And even though the Messiahs will reestablish the Throne of David in the center of Europe--an office which will pass by selection to every other race and family on earth--the place itself will serve as an eternal reminder that it is a "State of Mind" that was promised, one that can be realized everywhere on earth; and that it is the "Pure land" that lies beyond the dimensions of this world that is ultimately promised. It is a "land" that can be reached by every individual who starts out on the Inward journey across the dimensions of their own Soul. To abandon the "outlying land of the self" is to enter into the Pure Land of the Higher Self. To enter into the Pure Land of the Higher Self is to enter into the Presence of God itself, and is to come to the Doorway of Eternity--Nirvanah):

"In the Vedas there are no proper nouns denoting the names of certain persons, but only common nouns denoting certain attributes. For instance, the following meanings are given in the 'Shatapath Brahmana' (which is a commentary on one of the Four Vedas, the Yajurveda) of some words of this type:

i.e., Prana (Vital Breath) is called Vashistha Rishi because it is the best. Mind is called Bharadvaja Rishi--the bearer of knowledge...

It means that the words (pertaining to the various Rishis named in the Vedas)...do not stand for any particular persons...but they denote men in general. (Or they denote a particular principle, or spirit governing the affairs of men, as do the names of the various Hebrew kings in the Old Testament). This cuts at the root of the so-called historical references in the Vedas (limiting their narratives to any one particular time in history).

The word 'Atharva' (the name of another of the Four Vedas) is used for a non-violent Yogi who has steadied his mind, as it is derived from the root 'tharva' to be 'unsteady or restless.'...According to Kashakritsa Daatv Path, the root 'tharva'`means 'violence.' Therefore 'A-tharva' means a non-violent Yogi.

Here also the meaning of the word 'Vasishtha' (Rishi) has been given as the best, or one who bears the attributes of God to the largest extent...

In the Nisukta the word 'Jamad-agni' has been used for a person who performs Yajnas--NON-VIOLENT SACRIFICES--properly and keeps his home fire always burning...

The word 'Atri' which means 'tounge'...means also 'he who moves from place to place preaching Dharma (the Truth of things). The Holy Rigveda, of Rishi Dyananda Sarasvati, pp. li to liv.

Thus Gallio will exclaim at the trial of Paul:

If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:

But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters...(Acts 18:14,15).

__________

"On the authority of the Shatapath Brahman...THE WORD 'YAJNA' (SACRIFICE) ALSO STANDS FOR 'KINGDOM' OR 'COUNTRY.' SO THE WORD 'YAJNA' ALSO MEANS 'GLORY.'"

TRANSLATORS NOTES: "It is very significant how Rishi Dyananda interprets the word Yajna (as did Paul) in a wide and comprehensive sense, taking it to mean Kingdom, Country, or Nation and its glory. Sayanacharya and following him Western scholars take the word 'Yajna' in a narrow sense of a sacrificial act and translate it as such...This tendency of narrowing down the sense of the Vedic words and confining them to external sacrifices only...is very deplorable and it has proved to be very harmful." Mandala 1, Hymn 1, pp.57,58.

MIDRASH and MEANING…"Scripture says that Abraham went to the herd, got a calf, and returned. (Genesis 18:7). It does not say or even suggest that he had to chase the calf into a cave, where he discovered Adam and Eve, and found the Garden of Eden…

This deliberate leaving of the text (the author compares the present world to a dream state, Psalm 126:1, and the scriptures as literary figments of that dream, the main of which escapes us as we try to awaken and remember it and piece it together), creating a story and returning to the next word is called in Hebrew, Midrash. Midrash, then, is a literature that appears in the spaces in between…The poet, Joel Rosenberg has gone on to suggest that Scripture itself is a form of Midrash BUT, ALAS, WE HAVE LOST THE UR TEXT FOR THE SCRIPTURE. WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THE FIRST PARENTS AND OURSELVES? WE HAVE MISPLACED THE MAIN PART OF THE STORY THAT CONNECTS THE PAST TO THE PRESENT. Scripture is only an incomplete record. Our memories and our dreams are no better. And so the process of Midrash and the process of (mental) therapy are analogous. Health, like real understanding of Scripture, will occur at a time when the spaces are filled in. WHEN THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY IS MEANINGFULLY AND HONESTLY JOINED TO THE END." The River of Light, by Lawrence Kushner, p.29.

TRANSLATION: Those persons who are in communion with the Omnipresent God who is great, are kind and non-violent in their hearts, knowing all animate and inanimate objects, shine in resplendent God.

Those who know the real nature of the Sun and the (Wind) Shine, they become glorious. Hymn VI, Mantra 1, pp..73, 74.

The path of the Just is as the Shining Light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day...(Proverbs 4:18).

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the children of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world...(Philippians 2:15).

TRANSLATION…O men! You must know that God who gives the Light of Knowledge in order to dispel the darkness of ignorance…know that Merciful God. And acquire the knowledge of various sciences by keeping company with the learned who desire to get knowledge of God and all other objects…

PURPORT…Men should get up early in the morning (before the Dawn) by giving up all idleness, should exert themselves for dispelling ignorance and poverty, should acquire the knowledge of God and get the proper benefits out of all objects. Hymn VI, Mantra 3, pp.75,76.

Concerning this Mantra: Our translator takes others to task for what he says are their imperfect translations of this and other mantras: "How absurd," he says, "are the imaginations of Sayanacharya, Max Muller (and others). Sayanacharya interprets the mantra as 'O men! See the wonder, this Indra in the form of the Sun is born with his rays of burning nature, along with the dawns;' or taking the Sun as dead after sunset, he is addressed as being 'born in the morning, giving light where there was no light.'… Wilson translates it as: 'Mortal! You owe your (daily) birth to such an Indra who with rays of the morning gives sense to the senseless, and to the formless form!'" "Griffith's translation," he says, "is even worse: 'Thou makest light where no light was, and form, O men, where no form was, wast born together with the Dawn.'" In the footnote, however, he says: "…If Maryah (men) be taken to mean the Marutes (the sons of Thunder), the words 'wast born,' although in the singular number, may apply to these…regarded as one host or company and born at One Birth." "Such are the strange imaginations," he says of some of these translators, "while Rishi Dyananda's interpretation is straight forward and there are no 'far-fetched' meanings." (pp.75-77). . .

All such differences will either dissolve, or be explained, when seen in the light of such works as The Hymn of the Initiates and The Book of Hymns in the Qumran writings, and in the Merkabah (Chariot Throne) mysteries of these same Essenes--thus in the unfolding realities of the Universal Mystery of Christ. And all such "far-reaching" interpretations will be admitted in light of the words which say: And unto you that fear my Name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings, and ye shall go forth…(Malachi 4:2):

For God who commanded the Light to shine out of darkness, hath shined into our hearts, to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (The Hesus of the West and the Crishna of the East)...(2 Corinthians 4:6).

Open the Book of Ezekiel, the Son of Man

THE CHARIOT OF THE DAWN "The huge Chariot of the very hospitable Dawn has been made ready with horses yoked to it. The immortal gods have taken their seat in it. From the dark regions the noble Dawn has also mounted her Chariot, the Majestic, desiring to bring happiness to the homes of the people. The sister of Bhaga, the family relative of Varuna (the Clear Bright Sky...see Exodus 24:10).

'O Dawn, may you be agreeable to be adored as the First. Thereafter may he be driven back who may try to bring about suffering to us, and may we be able to conquer him with help from you, the Ever Hospitable, and your Chariot… The Dawns are all alike on this day and they will be alike tomorrow. THEY PROCEED TOWARD THE LONG-STRETCHING ABODE OF VARUNA.' (See Exodus 24:9).

This steady devotion to the divine ordinances is mentioned in many other places also: 'She brings the gods to the place of worship, so that they could drink the soma (the sacred honey, milk, or wine).' (Please compare Psalm 82:6-8). 'O Dawn, escort all the gods hither, in order that they may drink soma from the Atmospheric region.' (I. 48-2a). 'In so far as she has awakened the men who are to perform the worship, she has rendered a good turn to the poets.' (I.113-9b). The Dawn shown with her shining Chariot. (I.123-17). The Chariot is yoked by its own powers. (VII.78-4). The Dawn is specially related to the Twin Gods, the Ashvins. The Ashvins accompany the Dawn, the daughter of the heavens. (IV.52-2). The Quintessence of the Rigveda, pp.34-41.

The preceding, as well as the following excerpts from the Rig Veda concerning the relationship between the non-violent Maruts and the God of Battle and War must be studied in conjunction with the peculiarly allegorical doctrines of the Essenes as they are preserved in the War Scrolls of The Dead Sea Scriptures--which include such titles as The Triumph of God; Descriptions of the Final Age; The Wars of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness; and The Route of Belial (pp.383-436), and as they were later expressed in New Testament accounts:

THE MARUTS, SONS OF THUNDER…"Among the phenomenon of nature, special mention must be made of the Storm and the Dawn, and THE BRIGHT RISING SUN, AND THE SUN AT NOON. All the objects of nature are endowed with life and they respond to the feelings of man;

The Rigveda people see human beings behind the phenomenon of the Storm. (See Isaiah 29:6). THEY THOUGHT OF THE STORM AS SEVEN BROTHERS FORMING A GROUP. We do not know why they were spoken of as Seven in number. (Yes we do). There is some mystery about the number and we have completely lost the clue to help us solve the mystery." The Quintessence of the Rigveda, p.42.

And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Bo'an-erges, which is the sons of Thunder...(Mark 3:17).

"It is in apocalyptic literature that we find the first appearance of ideas of a specifically mystical character, reserved for the elect. Scholars do not agree on whether the origins of this literature are to be found among the Pharisees and their disciples or among the Essenes, and it is quite possible that apocalyptic tendencies appeared in both. It is known from Josephus that the Essenes possessed a literature which was both magical and angelogical in content. His silence concerning their apocalyptic ideas can be understood as his desire to conceal this aspect of contemporary Judaism from his (uninitiated readers). The discovery of the literary remains of the Qumran sect show that such ideas found a haven among them. They possessed the original Book of Enoch, both in Hebrew and Aramaic…In fact, traditions resembling those embedded in the Book of Enoch found their way into rabbinic Judaism at the time of the Tannaim and Amoraim, and it is impossible to determine precisely the breeding ground of this type of tradition until the problems presented by the discovery of the Qumran writings have been solved.

The Book of Enoch was followed by apocalyptic writing up to the time of the Tannaim, and in different ways, even later. Esoteric knowledge of these books touched not only upon the revelation of the end of time and its awesome terrors, but also upon the structure of the hidden world and its inhabitants: heaven, the Garden of Eden, and Gehinnom, angels and evil spirits, and the fate of the souls in this hidden world. Above this are revelations concerning the Throne of Glory (the Chariot) and its Occupant (Ezekiel 1:5), which should apparently be identified with 'the wonderful secrets' of God mentioned by the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Here a link can be established between this literature and the much later traditions concerning (the Mysteries of Creation, and the Mysteries of the Divine Chariot of God). It is not just the content of these ideas which is considered esoteric; their authors too hid their own individuality and their names, concealing themselves behind biblical characters like Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Baruch, Daniel, Ezra, and others. (And may we point out that they also hid their own identities behind one main archetypal personality named Jehoshua, or Jesus). This self-concealment, which was completely successful, has made it extremely difficult to determine the historical and social milieu of the authors. This pseudepigraphical pattern continued within the mystical tradition in the centuries that followed. The clear tendency toward asceticism as a way of preparing for the reception of the mystical tradition, which is already attested to in the last chapter of the Book of Enoch, becomes a fundamental principle for the apocalyptics, the Essenes, and the circle of Merkabah (Divine Chariot) mystics who succeeded them." Kabbalah, by Gershom Scholem, p.10.

And I looked, and, behold, a Whirlwind (a Storm) came out of the North...(Ezekiel 1:4).

"There are places where the Maruts are definitely the storms known to us. They shake the trees and even the mountains (the nations) and the entire earth trembles. (See Isaiah 2:19; Revelation 6:14-17)…They are terrific in their appearance. All tremble at their sight. (Romans 8:18-39). They move forward with force, causing fear in the minds of all. (Hebrews 12:21-29). 'In birth you were, O Maruts, connected with terrors. You are frightful, with minds that are terrific, quick in movement. When you are connected with your grandeur and with your powers, everyone trembles in fear, seeing the light.' (RV, vii.68-2).

Like the roars of those who have won a Victory in battle, you make a thundering noise through your impetuous powers, when, O heroes, you go forward. (I.23-I).

When along with your determination, you came to the cave of the powerful Bull, Indra, he began to roar out of fear, like the Sky thundering. (VIII,7-26)...

And ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall...(Malachi 4:2).

The Maruts, the sons of Rudra…the destroyers of the miserly, and they grow up high like the mountains, their progress never being stopped by anyone. (Proverbs 4:18,19). With their strength they pull down everything on the earth and in the celestial region. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6). (I.64-3).

Their Chariots are Golden (Solar). (V.57-1), the Wheels are golden, (I.88-5), They carry weapons made of gold. (Ephesians 6:11-17). (I.64-11).

They carry an Axe and other weapons. (Matthew 3:10). (I.37-2).

O Maruts, whatever remedies there may be in the mountains (the nations), all of them may you bring to us, knowing their positions. (VII.20-26).

The Maruts participated in the fights of Indra against the Dragon, Vritra, and Indra was able to accomplish his exploits through their aid. The Quintessence of the Rigveda, pp.42-48.

__________

For the earnest expectation of the creature (the world) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God...(Romans 8:19).

As readers learn to immerse themselves in these ancient studies they will see how these mysteries were carried out of the Vedic state of mind into the earliest Jewish, and then later Christian state of mind (giving rise in the various scriptures to tales of heroic deeds and epic feats of combat--none of which were to be taken in the purely literal sense by the Mind of light, but indeed in such a way as to stir the initiate to acts of great spiritual courage), and then from the pen of these epic poets to the ends of the earth and to the fulness of these times. It is discovered in the shape of Divine Reality itself, as well as in the corresponding structure of every people's legends and myths. Just as the Cross (the central structure of the Tree of Life), and the Gospel stories that were woven around it, came to define the meaning of spiritual reality to Christians (even if the meanings escaped the mind of Christianity itself), so did the various dimensions of the World Tree come to define reality for the other seemingly different religions of the world. When the picture is seen as a whole, however, we see that it is all One and the same. And immersed in these studies we see how Abraham and Sarah came to symbolize in their migration, humanity's eternal return to God--in all of their children everywhere throughout the earth. This return is accomplished, not in the abrogation of other peoples' beliefs but in the realization of them; for every peoples' beliefs are being fulfilled here in the West in our time, in the unfolding realities of the Mystery of Christ.

The Illustration is from Seven Arrows, a work by Hyemeyohsts Storm

Thus, for instance, we must realize that the asceticism, and the world-view of these Essenes who gave us the Gospels had as much, or more in common with the deepest and highest aspects of Native spirituality, as well as with the emerging consciousness of the spiritual counter-culture in America, and elsewhere, and therefore with all of the experiences of the 50s, and 60s up to this present time…

But whereunto shall I like this generation?

It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you; and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.

For John came neither eating and drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. The son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.

But Wisdom is justified of Her children...(Matthew 11:16-19).

...than it had with those later Christian ascetics who, over the course of time, separated themselves from the daily struggles of life, and from any involvement with the "opposite" principle, in order to contemplate God. One may contemplate God in isolation, outside of the balance and the fray of life, but will hardly find Them there to perfection (even though God is certainly present there). And though every soul must repair to the wilderness at times, to refresh the spirit, and to talk alone with God, it is to the coarse thicket of human life that one must be devoted--in order to receive the revelation for our times that is.

Studying the oracles we see that the great unfathomable Creator (the Pure Nothingness of Ain Sof) revealed Itself-Himself-Herself-Themselves in the figures of the Divine Father and Mother (Kether and Malkhuth in the Kabbalah, Brahma and Sarasvati in the Vedas). These, being born, or appearing, in the Navel of Vishnu at the moment of creation...

The Great Mandala of the Universe

...reveal Themselves as the Higher Mind of the Universe to which Vishnu--the Preserver and second manifestation of Divine Reality--is eternally subject. Christianity knows this manifestation of Vishnu in the composite form of the Word (the Logos) of Life, and in the cosmic person of Jesus Christ. We will also see how this name is a combination of two names, Hesus of the West (the Druid god suspended on the limbs of the Cosmic World Tree), and Crishna, or the Krishna of the East. (Please see the chapters on the Divine Name)...

Jesus is a hidden name, Christ is a revealed name. For this reason "Jesus" is not particular to any language; rather he is always called by the name "Jesus." While as for "Christ," in Syriac it is "Messiah", in Greek it is "Christ." Certainly all the others have it according to their own language. "The Nazarene" is one who reveals what is hidden. Christ has everything in himself, whether man or angel or mystery, and the Father...(The Gospel of Phillip, The Nag Hammadi Library).

Those who are rigid in spirit, and in their doctrines, have an extremely hard time understanding the meaning of these things, how the Divine Form changes from time to time (without changing at all), and from event to event, or in what way the Lord appeared to the world in the time of Aaron and Moses, and then again in the time of John the Baptist (the Essene) and Paul (the Pharisee). Normative Christianity holds that the Word appeared in the figure of one single individual person named Jesus of Nazareth. We would have everyone see instead how the Word appeared in a Single Body of Revelation, and in the collective form of all those who entered into the mystery of these things, as it is written: He who sanctifies, and they who are sanctified are of one. (Hebrews 2:11). He is the Angel of Divine Presence, the Universal Form who permeates all things. And Normative Judaism, confined to the literal, and one-sided dimensions of the Torah, not distinguishing the beginning of things from the end, imagines Jesus to have been nothing more than a Jewish heretic, the infamous Jeschu of Talmudic fame...

Jesus said, "He who knows the father and the mother will be called the son of a harlot…(The Gospel of Thomas 105)

...whose followers are responsible for almost all of the mischief that has been committed in the world in the name of God since that time. (The indictment, of course, is true, and this because the Mystery of Iniquity has indeed come to perfection in the Mystery of Christ, as all of us in our time can readily witness). Neither, however, have allowed their minds to comprehend the whole of the Mystery--the Pleroma--or the meaning of the Fullness of the Godhead Bodily. Darkness is indeed coming to perfection in Christianity, but so is the Light. And so is the Angel of Presence risen up everywhere in the higher dimensions of reality, and in all that is unfolding in the world at this present moment in time:

"There is the case of Varuna. We do not know what phenomenon of Nature it is that is behind the conception of that god. And in the description we find no person at all. We have the impression of some abstract, majestic presence, of some great power. In this way there is a characteristic feature in the description of every god in the Rigveda." The Quintessence of the Rigveda, p.41.

VISNU as the HIGHEST FORM OF BRAHMAN "Just as light is diffused from a fire which is confined to one spot, so is the whole universe the diffused energy of the Supreme Brahman.

And as light shows a difference, greater or less, according to its nearness or distance from the fire, so is there variation in the energy of Brahman. Brahma, Visnu, and Shiva are his chief energies. (They are all One in the same)

Visnu, containing all the energies, is the highest form of Brahman, which at the commencement of their abstraction, is contemplated by Yogins as invested with shape. (Read The Mystical Shape of the Godhead, by Gershom Scholem). Directed to him, the Great Union is produced in the undistracted minds of the devotees. Visnu is the highest and immediate of all the energies of Brahman, the embodied Brahman, formed of the whole Brahman. (see John 14:8-13).

On him the entire universe is woven and interwoven; from him is the world, and the world is in him; and he is the whole universe. Visnu, the Lord, consisting of what is perishable as well as what is imperishable, sustains everything, both Spirit and matter, in the form of his ornaments and weapons." The Puranas.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins,

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

He is before all things, and by him all things consist.

He is the Head of the Body, the church: who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.

For it pleased the Father (Brahma) that in him should all things dwell.

And having made peace through the blood of his Cross (through the great non-violent sacrifice he is accomplishing in all of his sons and daughters), by him to reconcile all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or in heaven... (Colossians 1:12-20).

"For whenever there is a withering of the Law (a decline in true religion), O son of Bharata, and an uprising of lawlessness on all sides, then I manifest myself.

For the salvation of the righteous, and the destruction of such as do evil; for the firm establishing of the Law I come to birth in age after age." Bhagavad Gita IV.8,9.

Arjuna (John the Baptist) said to Krishna (the Angel of Divine Presence)--the Eighth manifestation of Visnu:

"You are the Supreme Lord, to be worshipped by every living being. Thus I fall down to offer you my respects, and I ask your Mercy. As a father tolerates the impudance of his son, or a friend tolerates the familiarity of her partner, so should you tolerate the wrongs I have done to you.

After seeing this Universal Form, which I have never seen before, I am gladdened, but at the same time my mind is disturbed with fear (see Ezekiel 3:1-3; Revelation 10:9,10/Habakkuk 3:2).

Therefore please reveal your form as the Personality of Godhead to grace me, O Lord of lords, O Sanctuary of the Universe.

O Universal Lord, I wish to see you in your FOUR HANDED FORM with helmeted Head and with club, wheel, conch, and lotus flower in your hands. I long to see you in that form…

O best of Kuru warriors, no one before you has seen this form…and your mind has been perturbed at seeing this Horrible feature of mine. (see 2 Corinthians 5:11; Deuteronomy 4:34).

Now let it be finished. My devotee, be free from all disturbances. With a peaceful mind you can see my form as you have desired (see Hebrews 12:14). The Supreme Personality of Godhead, while speaking to Arjuna, displayed his real Four Handed Form, and at last showed HIS TWO HANDED FORM, thus encouraging the fearful Arjuna." (See Matthew 3:3; Isaiah 40). Bhagavad-gita As It Is, 11:40-50.

The lowly, non-violent, two-handed form of Vishnu.

The Universal Four Handed form of the Lord is reflected, not only in the image of Vishnu imposed over the upper, or supernal dimensions of the World Tree, as well as in the Talmudic image of the angel Sandalphon, but in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, where he exclaims: Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: THE WHOLE EARTH is full of his glory. (Isaiah 6:1-3). Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva (and their Feminine counterparts, Sarasvati, Lakshmi and Shakti, or Kali), have also given life and form to the figures of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and their Female counterparts. And while the Hebrew figures take with them from the Vedic archetypes a more historical or human character, they are still, nevertheless, the personification of ideas (gods in the classical sense), and not individual persons themselves...

After discovering the relationship between the Second figure in the Trinity (Vishnu) and Isaac, who becomes a figure of the universal Christ in his non-violent Two Handed form (Genesis 22:1-18; Galatians 3:16-29), it is just a leap of imagination to realize that Jacob, the Third figure in this Hebrew Trinity, represents the whole of humanity--the very domain of Shiva and Shakti-Kali themselves. For it is in the collective form of the primal human spirit that these two destroy the works of men. (Revelation 9). Shiva and Kali destroy the works of men in the very interest of Creation itself. If they were the only manifestations of the Godhead, however, or the only state of mind governing humanity, the earth would already be totally destroyed, and that without remedy. Thus in the higher interest of the creation process Vishnu and Lakshmi sustain the universe of spiritual Thought and Form. And in the totality of all worlds does Brahma and Sarasvati make themselves known. The Three are one and the same, and become so in the mind of every individual soul capable of comprehending it. Humanity is the three-fold structured Temple of God's Holy Presence, and only humanity can reflect all that God has chosen to become. Man's own mind and body is created in the image of the Oracle which proceeds from the Mind of God. Outside of man God is Nature (Vishnu, the Word). Outside of Nature God is Pure Invisible Thought (Brahma).

Allowing the oracles to have their way with our thoughts, we see that when Jacob is sent away from his parents' house in the 28th chapter of Genesis, that his journey would take him (as it has taken the collective mind of Humankind), into the Four corners of the earth before it would carry him back to the center again. He will acquire Four (Syrian) wives in the process--all of whom symbolize, not merely the four pathways to "acquired learning" but the eventual attainment of the Higher Wisdom itself--Herself...(personified in this case by Rachel). For "Syria," in contrast to the higher concept of "Israel," symbolizes the lower, mundane order of things, through which the soul must journey, and in which it must labour, if it is to attain to the Promised State of Mind…

And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father (my old nature), and he went down into Egypt (the lower world), and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous... (Deuteronomy 26:5).

Just as Sarah appears in the Scripture with Abraham, because She is One with Him; and just as Rebekah came to Isaac, symbolizing that form of Wisdom that comes to the spiritual aspirant unsought for (the aspirant not even knowing that he or she is being prepared by God for such a union, or for the sacrifice they will be called upon to make), so the greater mind of humanity (Jacob) is occupied in an epic and constant quest for this same connection to spiritual reality. But Jacob, though desiring Rachel (who symbolizes the higher mysteries), had to first settle for Leah, who symbolizes the lesser, or outer mysteries. The general mind of humanity must be first prepared in the lesser before it can attain to the higher. Along with their handmaidens, Bilhah and Zilpah, the two (the four) represent the sum of earthly Wisdom, as well as the Four directions into which the seed of Abraham has gone in search of this Wisdom, and out of which it will come to the Center again. (Luke 13:28,29). It was not until Jacob wrestled with his own angel, and until he began this homeward journey, that his name is changed to Israel (Genesis 32:24-28), symbolizing that he had, at last, overcome the world and had learned the lessons that Wisdom Herself had layed out for him. And we, on our own return to the Center, will learn in the next chapter how the name I(SRA)El is itself derived from the name of this Divine Mother, SaRAsvati, for Moses and the ancient sages of Israel (the Rishis), were learned in all these things.

"I will declare the mighty deeds of Vishnu, of him who measured out the earthly regions. Who propped the highest place of the congregation, THRICE setting down his Footstep, Widely Striding.

For this his mighty deeds is Vishnu lauded, like some wild beast, dread, prowling, mountain roaming; He within whose Three wide-extended paces all living creatures have their habitation.

Let the hymn lift itself as strength to Visnnu, the Bull, far-striding, dwelling on the mountains, Him who alone with Triple Step hath measured this common dwelling place, long far extended. Him whose Three paces that are filled with sweetness, imperishable joy… Who verily upholds the Threefold, the earth, the heaven, and all living creatures.

May I attain to that his well-loving mansion where devoted souls are happy. For there springs, close akin to the Wide Strider, the Well of meath in Visnu's highest footstep. Fain would we go unto your dwelling-places where there are many horned and nimble oxen. For mightily, there, shineth down upon us THE WIDELY-STRIDING BULL'S SUBLIMEST MANSION." The Rigveda.

The Three Widely Striding Steps of Vishnu.

And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven (out of the East unto the West), clothed with a Cloud: and a Rainbow upon his Head, and his Face was as it were the Sun, and his Feet as Pillars of Fire. (Understand all the symbols of the Tree of Life).

And he had in his Hand a little book open: and he set his Right Foot upon the Sea, and his Left Foot upon the earth (Widely-Striding),

And he cried with a loud voice (with the Voice of many nations), as when a Lion roareth: and when he cried Seven Thunders (the Sons and daughters of God, the Maruts) uttered their voices...(Revelation 10:1-3).

Where the author(s) of the book of Hebrews says of Jesus: Though he were a son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered (Hebrews 5:8), it leads those without an epic sense of the Mystery of Christ to contend that he or she is speaking of one particular individual alone. The author, however, goes on to say:

Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

For when the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again what be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not strong meat. (see 1 Corinthians 3:1-9; Isaiah 28:9)...

For everyone that useth milk is unskillfull in the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of Full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil...(Hebrews 5:11-14).

__________

For it became him (the Lord of All) for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing Many Sons and Daughters unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation (their own higher, Christ-conscious minds), perfect through sufferings.

For both He that sanctifieth (the Lord of heaven and earth ), and they who are sanctified, are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren...(Hebrews 2:10,11).

__________

There is One Body, and One Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. (See Matthew 3:11). One God the Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all…

(Therefore) Till we come in the Unity of the Faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a Perfect Man (please see the next chapter), unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and from, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight off men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ.

From whom the Whole Body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the Body into the edifying of itself in love... (Ephesians 4:4-6; 13-16).

So we, in the light of these things, continue to visualize the construction put upon the Gospels by that later fellowship of Essenes who wrote them, and who saw in their times a reflection of our own, and who did, indeed, enter into the wilderness of the nations, and who did indeed return to the land--the state of mind--that was promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Which is why one of the chief questions asked about the Essenes is, "What happened to them? Where did they go?" Those who were studied in the secret teachings returned to the center of Europe (open the Book of Acts), and from there, with their books and their mysteries intact, they went off in Twelve directions according to the further dictates of the oracles...James1:1.

They (many having given their lives), and those who came after them, found their way into the many various Druid, Gnostic, and mystical Judaic sects, until almost all trace of them was gone. But not entirely. Their doctrines will show up in those of the Mahayana school of Buddhism, throughout the Jewish Kabbalah, in the myths and legends of both Northern Europe and Africa, and, as it will become very evident, as far-astride as North and Central America. (Please read The Flayed God, The Mythology of Mesoamerica, by Roberta and Peter Markman; Lost Cities of North & Central America, by David Hatcher Childress; The Shaman's Secret, The Lost Resurrection Teachings of the Ancient Maya, by Douglas Gillette; He Walked the Americas, by L. Taylor Hansen; The Sacred Tree, by Judie and Michael Bopp, and the Four Worlds Development Project; and The Ghost Dance, by James Mooney).

By following the structure of the ideas and the symbols, and the myths and legends associated with them, we are able to see, not only where the adepts in these mysteries were in touch with each other throughout the whole earth (Psalm 19:1-6), but also how the Spirit was sealing up these things from the mind of the sons of Darkness at the same time. Which is why Paul--who, after being accepted into this fellowship some forty years or more before the Gospels were written, after instructing these Essenes in matters that they themselves were not fully aware of yet of (in matters that appear in the Gospel narratives themselves..such as the Mystery of Christ and him Crucified)--was also deeply secretive about them, even as he went on to inscribe the hidden sense of them onto the consciousness of the Gentile world. And though he was rejected and excommunicated by the rabbis of his time, his incursion into the Gentile world was accomplished according to the dictates of the Law and the Prophets. (See Romans 15:8-12)…

And though there were many initial points of contention between the Pharisee, Paul, and the Essenes, there was in the end an agreement on the meaning of it all. (2 Peter 3:15-18). And especially was it clear to all of them, as well as to all those who would be guided by the Holy Spirit in future times (our times), that the battles they were engaged in were purely spiritual and, as far as the Scriptures were concerned, purely allegorical. All who taught otherwise were either of the Darkness, or subject to it:

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand:

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your Feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace (see Romans 10:14,15)

Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (This is Excalibur)...(Ephesians 6:11-17).

__________

For though we walk in the flesh; we do not war after the flesh:

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnel (they are not the kind of weapons that the antichrists of the earth employ, that physically kill and hurt other human beings), but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your (own) obedience is fulfilled...(2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

A study of the fourth chapter of Revelations reveals it to be a paraphrase of the First chapter of Ezekiel, the Sixth chapter of Isaiah, and the Fourth chapter of Zechariah--projecting, as it does, the import of all of these chapters into the future (into our own time to be exact). The whole of it also reveals the Book of Revelation (the Apocalypse), and the Four primary Gospels, to be purely Kabbalistic documents. And, in accordance with the world-view of those who wrote them, we may open them up right here in America, at the Root of the Tree of Life, in our own time. The vision of Ezekiel (the Chariot of the Dawn), was recorded in Babylon (in the East), and it must, therefore, be opened in Babylon (in the West). Such is the law of Symmetry. It begs to be discovered at the deepest levels of quantum physics, but also in the most mysterious dimensions of human history. All things on one side of the Oracle are a historical and spiritual reflection of the other side. (And even if one can see only one side, the other side is always implied, waiting to be discovered). Thus all things East are a reflection of things West. (Just as things South are a reflection of things North). The Book of Revelation itself must be opened along side of, and in conjunction with all the other prophetic and apocalyptic books, because it is a collective paraphrase of them all--all of which were sealed up together till the last days. (Daniel 12:4; Revelation 20:12-15).

By studying the oracles see how we in our time are situated at the Seventh emanation on the Tree of Life named Endurance (Matthew 24:13). (Some have named it Victory…1 Cor.15:54-58). And then see how John the Baptist appeared at the Fourth emanation named Love. (John 13:34,35; 15:13-17; 1 John 4:17-21). (Some have named it Mercy). See how the great Solar Chariot of Divine Revelation ascended at that time (2 Kings 2:1-11; Matthew 11:12-15), and how it is descending again in our time. See how its descent is being accompanied by all the age-ending and apocalyptic events of our time, but also how these events began to emanate into our collective consciousness in the 20th century from the center of Europe. Realize that as the the Mystery of Christ reveals itself in all the dimensions of heaven and earth, so the divinity of Nature is revealed in the Mystery of Christ. Chief among the elements of Nature is the Sun, the bringer of Light, the source of all Life. Those who have followed the course of this Higher Sun are the same as those who are coming to perfection in these last days. They have become One with the very mysteries of Nature itself:

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it and pass away.

For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

But the path of the just is as a Shining Light that shineth more and more unto the Perfect day...(Proverbs 4:14-18).

__________

The son of man (open the book of Ezekiel) shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them that do iniquity.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the Sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear let him hear...(Matthew 13:41-43).

As we open up the pages of the Book of Ezekiel here in America we see that we are told to look into the Forest of the South, and sure enough we discover the ancient whereabouts of the garden of Eden. (Ezekiel 20:45-49). And then we are told to Behold the Assyrian. (Ezekiel 31). And we discover the office of the President of the United States, and those who have occupied this office in the name of Christ, thus the fullest meaning of the words:

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them...(Matthew 7:16-20; 3:1-10).

__________

Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of Darkness, but rather reprove them...(Ephesians 5:11)..

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…

For the mystery of Iniquity doth already work (see 1 John 2:18,19), only he who now letteth (the angel of Obstruction…Numbers 22:22-32), will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God (has sent) a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (in short, in the American political and economic order)...( 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12).

TRANSLATION: "All our hymns extol the Lord who is diffused on every side like the ocean, Who is the Supreme Charioteer, and Master of the souls possessing the chariots in the form of the bodies, Who is Lord of all Strength and Protector of all righteous persons." Mandala 1, Hymn XI, Mantra 1.

The Solar Chariot of Divine Revelation

"The mysteries of the Throne constitute here a particularly exalted subject which to a large extent set the pattern for the early forms of Jewish mysticism. It did not aspire to an understanding of the true nature of God, but to a perception of the phenomenon of the Throne on its Chariot as it is described in the first chapter of Ezekiel…

The mysteries of the world of the Throne, together with those of the Divine Glory which is revealed there, are the parallels in Jewish esoteric tradition to the revelations on the realm of the Divine in Gnosticism. The 14th chapter of the Book of Enoch, which contains the earliest example of this kind of literary decription, was the source of a long visionary tradition of describing the world of the Throne and the visionary ascent to it, which we find portrayed in the books of the Merkabah mystics. In addition to interpretations, visions, and speculations based on the Divine Chariot, other esoteric traditions began to crystallize around the first chapter of the Book of Genesis, which was called (the work, or the Book of Creation)…

Evidence concerning the involvement of Johannan b. Zakkai (a name that enters rabbinic Judaism through the Essenes, and which hints at the teaching of John [Johannan] the son of Zachariah), and his disciples in this sort of exposition proves that this esotericism could grow in the very center of developing rabbinic Judaism, and that consequently this Judaism had a particular esoteric aspect from its very beginning."
